I wake up to the noise of somebody playing guitar — terribly.
I yawn as I sit up, stretching and rubbing my eyes. I don't remember much from last night, other than the fact I had my best friend, Lars Ulrich, and his bandmates Kirk, Cliff and my friend James, who was also in Lars' band, come over. They're on a break so Lars decided to come here and give me some company. I appreciate it. We've been friends since we were, what, sixteen? Now we're both twenty. So that's cool I suppose.
I get up from my bed finally, exiting my room to find out where that damn noise is coming from.
After a few seconds of searching, I find Lars sitting on my sofa, James' guitar in hand. 'Jesus, Lars! What are you doing?' I look at him, wiping my eyes once more. He simply shrugged, put the guitar down and stood up. 'I dunno. Just bored I guess.' I inspect his face a little bit and notice that he looks a little tired. 'Hey, did you even get any sleep last night?' I ask, walking over to the kitchen that was just next to the living room to retrieve myself a glass of water. Lars followed me, sitting on the countertop, 'Like... An hour? I slept a lot yesterday so I didnt feel very tired. But—' he yawned, '—Now I am.' I shook my head and took a sip of water. Lars always slept during the day and was up nearly all night. 'Hmm.. Well, what are you thinking of doing today?' He asked me. 'Meh, not sure. Might head to the mall and get some new clothes. I feel like some new ones' He nodded, 'Hey, can I go with you? We haven't really spent that much time together since I started going on tour and stuff.' 'Yeah of course! You can help me pick out some clothes if you'd like.' Lars smiled widely and got up from the counter.
