Chapter 2

Starting off as Blake POV

I walked around the school, on my way to my next class, just yesterday's event playing through my head over and over. I was snapped out of it when I was shoved against the wall and lifted off the ground

"Didn't I tell your kind to go back to your homes?" The same guy that pushed us yesterday said as he had me lifted

"I-... I..." I couldn't get words out.. I was frightened.

"Leave her alone!" I hear a voice yell to my right.

I look to see Ruby.

I felt myself get lifted more then tossed and I fell on the floor.

"You think a small girl like you can handle me?" He say turning away from me

"Maybe not her" Another voice from behind me starts, I look up and saw that beautiful Blonde from yesterday.. Yang.. "But I can Cardin" She says smiling

"Oh yea?" He says, raising his fists, "I'd like to see you try"

Yang cracks her knuckles with ease, I back up to the wall during this to not be in the way, she raised her hands as well, but then taunted him doing the C'mere motion.

He ran his way towards her and swings his fist, she dodges last second and kicked his gut. He was brought back in pain, but he kept swinging, she just kept dodging as Ruby ran over to me to help me up.

"Thanks.." I say quietly

"It's not fair, but you're welcome" Ruby smiles

"What isn't fair?" I ask

"The way you're treated, but I bet you Yang will always be here to protect you" Ruby says

"What do you mean?" I ask

She just smiles at me without saying anything. I looked over and Yang finally was put up with the dodging and punch the guy to the locker.

"Give up Cardin" she says

He just growls and runs off with his friends. Yang look over at me and ran towards me.

"Blake! Are you okay?" She asks, Ruby letting her take me

"I'll be okay.." I simply reply

She looks up at Ruby

"Get to class Ruby, I got this" she says

Ruby nods and uses her semblance to run off
She sits me down against the wall once more, but this time to check for any injuries

"Does it hurt anywhere?" She asks

"Not really.. I've handled worse" I reply

I heard her give out a sigh.

"A pretty girl like you doesn't deserve to be hurt like that..." she says, I felt her head touch mine, like she was leaning it on mine.

I open my eyes to see hers was closed.

"Uh.. Yang?" I say awkwardly

"Oh- sorry" she says jumping back, "force of habit" she tries to give a smile.

I try to get up, but I felt a bit weak, I was able to manage though. She offered to walk me to the nurse, but I just wanted to get to class, she wouldn't leave me alone though, she walked me to my class and then sat outside. It seemed that she didn't mind missing classes, and there wasn't much I could do to prevent it.

As class quickly went by and I walked outside, she was still waiting there, but passed out against the wall. I giggled to myself and walked over to nudge her shoulder
