Starting of as Yang POV
"No! I think waffles are better!!" A voice downstairs shouts, waking me up
"I'm sorry, pancakes are all I could make" a deeper, more adult like voice responds
I rub my eyes as I lean up from bed, my sister and fathers still going on downstairs. I groan, pushing myself out of bed. I grab my jacket hanging on the wall after getting dressed into a yellow skin tight shirt and black jeans, I slip the jacket in and made my way downstairs.
"I'm just saying Ruby, they're basically the same thing, just cooked differently" I hear my dad reply
I grab my black boots and slipped them on, and walked to the kitchen
"Good morning Sleepy head" my dad greets me
"Yang! Tell dad that waffles and pancakes are completely different" Ruby says
"Good morning to you too Ruby" I say, grabbing my plate and sitting down.
"Excited to start school again?" Dad asks
"Not exactly, but we'll see" I respond
"Still picking up Weiss?" He asks
"Yup, as soon as I finish eating" I reply
Weiss is a childhood friend of ours, my dad and her mom met at a party and since have been really close friends.
"Jaune is coming over after school, you should invite Weiss" Ruby says
"Sure, I gotta get going though, Weiss will kill me if I'm late" I say, taking my last bite then grabbing my phone
"Have fun sweetheart, I'll drop Ruby off later" Dad says as I get to the front door
I open it and rush to my car, Weiss doesn't live too far but she likes to be, what she calls it, fashionably early.
I stop infront of her house and call her
"Hello?" A voice over the phone asks
"Hey Weiss, I'm up front" I reply
"Alright, I'll be right out" she says
"Don't keep me waiting Princess" I reply
She hung up the phone and soon after exited the front door.
"You dolt, my mother was right next to me" she says getting into the car and kissing my cheek.
"She knows we're not together anymore right?" I ask
"She does, but she also knows Princess was a name you called me" She replies, buckling her seatbelt.
Weiss went on about how her dad is supposed to get out of jail in like 3 years while I drove our way to school
We finally made it and Weiss got out and dragged me inside, I swear, even though her and I broke up last year, you could say nothing basically changed. We still always walked side by side, and she'd still greet me in the morning with cheek kisses.
As we walked into the school, we met up with our friends Coco, Jaune and Neptune.
"Good morning ice queen" Coco greets
"Hey, only Yang can call me that!" Weiss does a little pout stance
"Why does she get that privilege?" Neptune asks
"Uh, duh! Yang and I have known each other since early elementary" she replies
"What's up Coco?" I ask as I noticed Coco hasn't looked up from her phone
