Chapter 3: Empathy

Minho's POV

Two hours passed, by then Winston walked into the center of the cargo hold to give us a last-minute briefing.

"Alright team, we're approaching the drop zone, Team 1 consisting of Soldier 76, Mercy, Reinhardt, and Genji will drop at Point A while Team 2 formed by myself, Tracer, Mei, Brigitte, and Ana will drop at Point B. The rest of you will bring up the rear and attack through the middle, understood?" said Winston

I stared at the map, indicating the levels of defenses that Talon had set up, "This is a foolish plan," I thought to myself, "We'll get there too late and by the time we manage to get past the insurgents, they'll have downloaded the data and gotten away,"

"It's going to take too long," I said, "We need to drop now or else they'll get away,"

"Negative, the landing zone is too hot, we'll take too many casualties," said Soldier 76

I scoffed, "Suit yourself," I said unstrapping myself and standing up

"Minho! Where are you-," called out D.Va

I ignored as I ran at the bay door of the dropship, hit the button making the door descend. I jumped out of the ship as the rest of Overwatch yelled my name. I fell through the air, directing myself using the jet boosters attached to my suit. Immediately, I was met with anti-aircraft fire that traced my path. I darted to the right, weaving through the streams of bullets that would certainly destroy my armor, if not tear my body apart.

My comms activated, "Minho!" said a familiar female voice, "I'm right behind you,"
I looked to my left and saw D.Va in her pink mech flying down with me. This surprised me as I thought that the rest of the Overwatch were too cowardly to join me on my attempt to single-handedly complete this mission. I hit the ground and rolled, simultaneously grabbing my DMR and shooting two unsuspecting soldiers. D.Va's mech landed on the ground next to me and we moved forward.

"Clear the ground forces, I'll take the rooftops," I ordered her

She did so without a word and I jumped into the air, leaping from the walls to the roof of the following building using my booster. I shot down the guards with martial precision as D.Va struggled to keep up, the bulk of her mech slowing her down. I put my rifle away and continued running, dodging enemy fire. Explosions caused by the mini missiles launched from D.Va's mech roared around me as I sprinted through the flame, kicking another guard off his post. The central command post came into view and I saw a soldier with an energy cannon pointed right at D.Va. I grabbed a bubble shield from my belt and threw it at her, it's casing engulfing her mech and protecting her from the initial blast. I then jumped off the roof, boosting up into the air towards the cannon and extending my lightning claws, The Raven's Talons, before skewering the soldier manning the gun. I kicked the door down; my claws crackling with electricity and began tearing apart everyone inside.

The shear difference in speed and strength was more than enough for me to take down the soldiers within, my lightning claws making quick work anyone who stood in my path. The last soldier unloaded his rifle right at me, but my shields absorbed all the damage, reducing its integrity to 60%. He dropped his rifle and drew his knife slowing backing away from me.

"Don't get any closer," he said, his voice trembling

I ignored him and saw the data spike planted in the command post's terminal. I removed it and crushed the spike preventing any more information from being leaked to Talon. The soldier looked terrified as I now focused my attention on him.

"Who do you work for?" I said

"They're too big for you to know," he said

"Give me names," I said
