Chapter 6

“Mommy, I’m home! Where are the girls?” Connor said as he walked in from Lake Verity.

“Aubrey left a few minutes ago, and Dana is in her room doing something. I haven’t heard from her in a while,” Dana’s mom wondered.

“Do you want me to see want she’s doing?” Connor asked.

“That would be great Connor, but knock first,” His mother told him.

“I will!” Connor assured her and ran up the stairs.

In her room, Dana was enjoying her time. She was learning so much about Lucario and herself as well; for example, she learned that she snored but Lucario never left her side. She had never known Lucario liked her so much.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Dana panicked. It would only take a minute to find out who was at the door. She pulled away from Lucario. “Who is it?” Dana asked.

“It’s Connor! What are you doing? Mom wants to know,” Connor asked from outside the door.

“Uh, doing homework,” Dana lied.

“Dana, its summer! There’s no homework!” Connor said, “What are you doing in there?”

Talking to my boyfriend, Dana wanted to say, but couldn’t. Dana sighed and returned Lucario to his Poke ball. She walked to the door and opened it. Connor was staring at her.

“What were you doing?” Connor asked again.

He is SO annoying! Dana thought, “I was reading Twilight, okay? I like it now and want to go see the movie soon.”

“Oh, okay. Thanks!” Connor ran off.

“Dana! Time for dinner!” Dana’s mom called from the bottom of the stairs.

“Yay, food!” Dana could hear Connor say.

That night, Dana was fast asleep dreaming of what it would be like if Connor hadn't interrupted. Awesome, she supposed. She loved Lucario, and he loved her. It was like a dream come true.
