Chapter 9

“Do I look okay?” Dana asked as everyone rushed over.

“Oh no! That wasn’t supposed to happen! It’s ruined!” Riley exclaimed in horror.

“What?! What happened!?” Dana was in panic. What had they done to her?

Aubrey pulled out her mirror, “I think you should see this,” Aubrey held up the mirror. Dana had been transformed into a pink Lucario!!!

Dana gasped, “What did you do to me?” she asked.

“I don’t know what went wrong; I’ve experienced the same thing, at this same place, at your age. I wonder what happened,” Riley tried to explain.

“How am I going to live my life now?” Dana said terrified. Then she noticed something, “Wait, where’s Lucario?!” She looked from side to side. She didn’t see Lucario. “He’s gone too?! Now my life is ruined!”

“I’m right here,” said a voice behind her.

“Who’s there?” Dana asked.

“It’s me,” the voice said again. Dana turned around. Lucario was right behind her! And it wasn’t the regular telepathic thoughts he sent her, he was talking in a deep voice she never heard before!

“Lucario, you’re alright!” Dana exclaimed, “And you can talk!”

“Just the power of aura, baby,” Lucario replied with a smile, “I think you look beautiful,” Lucario remarked. Dana blushed. Everyone helped Dana up. She could stand again!

“Now I understand what happened,” Riley said from behind. Everyone looked at him, “There was no problem or flaw it was just the love of this couple.”

“What?” Aubrey asked.

“The power of aura can work in two ways, it could turn you into an Aura Guardian or it can turn you into a Lucario, which was demonstrated here. There’s much science to it but the way I see it now, Dana’s love for Lucario might as well turned her into a Lucario! The love these two share could have some tribute to the transformation into a Lucario, or it could be just because she’s a girl,” Riley explained. Dana was surprised at Riley's remark and became angry.

“Do you have something against girls!!!!?” Lucario was trying to hold her back, “I can’t believe I thought I was in love with you when we first met!!!!” Then Dana realized what she said. Oops. She thought. Everyone was laughing silently, even Riley. Dana calmed down enough when she was snatched up into Lucario’s arms. She buried her head in his fur. Lucario stared angrily towards the three.

“How dare you make fun of this innocent girl's feelings. Does it matter if she has or had a crush on Riley? So something slipped out, I’m sure she didn’t mean it,” Lucario defended her. He whispered to Dana, “I think it’s time for us to go.” Dana nodded. She walked toward the exit with Lucario. When they got outside, Dana felt a pulse of speed and ran into the building nearly out of control.Dana fell to the ground. Lucario rushed over. Dana rubbed her head.

“Ow, that hurt.” Dana looked up at Lucario, “What happened?”

Before Lucario could answer her, a girl with brown pigtails and a blue dress came out of the building with two other men. The girl looked at least Dana’s age, maybe a little older. She and the men ran to the back of the building, expecting to find crooks trying to break into the building. Dana was struggling to get up.
