Days have passed and Joseph hadn't visited Dina again after their talk. Mr. Price came to talk to her from time to time but of course she couldn't tell him everything. He wouldn't understand anyways. Or at least that was what she thought.
Dina was still too weak to really walk so she couldn't do much apart from reading and thinking about her terrible life. And since she didn't do much all day she wasn't really tired even though she rested a lot because of the healing process. So one night she was still awake, her thoughts not letting her sleep at all when she suddenly heard noises.
She heard very loud talking and she knew that it was Mr. Price who was speaking. He sounded very upset and Dina noticed that he wasn't inside the house but instead she heard his voice through the open window right next to the desk in the bedroom. She couldn't hear any specific words but then suddenly she saw something coming from above and falling straight down. And it looked exactly like a human body. Even worse, it looked like the body of a child.
It must've been the shock that let her get up then and walk towards the window to see what was happening. Mr. Price was lying on the ground and Henry, the child of Mr. Winchester's niece Marion was right on top of him. It looked like the child had fallen from the roof – for whatever reason – and Mr. Price caught him before he could hit the ground.
She noticed the boy beginning to move again after a while and she let out a sigh in relief. She didn't like the whole Winchester family but she didn't want that poor young boy to get hurt since he didn't do anything to her. In fact he visited her from time to time as well, telling her stories and just talking to her about different things. Sometimes he behaved kind of weirdly but Dina didn't really question it.
It was only until they all went back inside that Dina really realized that she was standing and just like that her knees began to feel weak again and buckled under her weight. So she carefully pulled herself up again with the help of the desk right next to her and slowly walked over to the bed again.
Now every single step she took hurt and it was costing her so much energy to put one foot in front of the other, even though the distance between the window and the bed wasn't that big.
She was back in bed now and wondered when somebody would come and tell her what happened or if anybody would tell her in general. She figured that if someone would tell her then it would probably be Mr. Price – and she was right.
About an hour after everything happened she heard a knock on the door and told the person who caused that sound to come in. Mr. Price entered and sat down on the chair next to the bed, just like he always did when he visited her.
"I saw you at the window... How are you doing now?" He asked her. Dina even thought that he sounded a little concerned.
"I'm fine." She answered. "But it was quite exhausting and I noticed that my legs still don't work properly."
"It's going to take time until you'll be able to really walk again."
"But I definitely want to try more often now. Could you help me with that?" Dina now knew that she could stand and walk again. She wanted to practice now or else she probably would never again be able to go normally. But she knew that she couldn't do it alone.
"Yes, of course. But you can't expect a full recovery in the next weeks, maybe months. We'll have to start very slowly."
"Thank you. So... what happened?"
"I don't really know to be honest. Henry fell down from the roof but nobody pushed him or anything. He seemed to jump voluntarily but when I caught him he was just perplex and couldn't remember anything."
