Valerie Tan stirred to the light peaking through the blinds, hitting her directly in the eyes. After her shift at the hospital, Valerie and her friends met up at the bar, having not seen one another in a while because of everyone's jobs. Valerie knew it wasn't smart when she stayed at the bar after her friends left. She knew that she would wake up in the morning and hate herself for this. Her was head pounding and the sunlight hitting her directly in the eyes wasn't helping. She turned in the other direction to avoid the sunlight. As she turned around, the arm that was wrapped around her waist loosened its hold on her. At this realization, her eyes snapped open and saw a naked man, only covered by her white sheets.

Valerie groaned, getting up and removing the man's arm from her waist. She grabbed the cover that fell on the floor and wrapped it around herself. She looked around for her phone and saw it on her dresser. Once reaching it, she looked at the time and cursed herself, she was going to be late for work.

Valerie saw the man's shirt on the ground and crouched down to grab it. She threw it at the man's face. He grunts, his eyes squinting as he was also hungover. He looked over to the beautiful Asian brunette that just thrown his shirt at him.

"You have to leave okay," Valerie said and looked for the rest of his clothes that were scattered throughout the whole room.

She picked them up and started throwing them at him. The man lifted her red lace bra into the air. "This...is?" He asked.

"Nothing, it is nothing." She muttered, she walked over to him and ripped her bra out of his hands, and started gathering clean clothes to change into after she showered.

"Well, we can turn it into something. Come over here and we continue where we left off," He said with a flirty smile, his eyes trailing her body up and down.

"I mean it, you have to leave. I have to get ready for work," Valerie told him, holding a pile of clean clothes in her arm. "You can let yourself out. You can also help yourself to some coffee before you leave," as she was about to enter her bathroom, she notice something hiding under her bed. She picked it up and smiled before tossing it to him. "Thank you for your service last night, officer."

He watched as she closed the bathroom door with a smirk on his face. He looked down to see what he had caught and noticed it was his police badge, chuckling at her little joke. He tossed the white sheet that was barely covering his body and started to put on his clothes. He grabbed his phone that was on the nightstand and check his phone. He too had to get to work, and seeing as his shift was about to start soon, he ordered an Uber. After he did, he double-checks to see if he had everything and exits her room, and went downstairs. He walked towards the front door, passing the kitchen before doubling back.

Deciding to take up her offer and made himself a coffee, making sure there was enough for her as well. He took a travel mug after searching through many cabinets and took the one that was gifted to her and was also her favorite. He saw a notebook and pen on the counter, he decided to leave her a note.

'That was the best adult sleepover ever"
-Tim

He smiled to himself proudly, getting a notification from his phone telling him that his Uber arrived. He picked up the mug and finally left.

Shortly after he left, Valerie made her way downstairs after she showered and went to make herself coffee and to see that it was already made. She notice there was a note on the side of her coffee machine and laughed to herself, agreeing with him. Valerie wasn't the one who did one-night stands, but last night Valerie felt different from Tim. Last night was her first one-night stand, she was glad that Tim is a cop and not some creep. She frowned when she noticed there was no number on the note he left behind. She shook her head, not wanting to worry about it.

There was also another reason why she didn't do a one-night stand and that was because of her big brother, Victor Tan. He was a patrol officer before moving up to S.W.A.T., he told her all the bad things that he had seen with a woman who went home with a man. He didn't have to tell her that there were evil men out there, she'll see the victims in the ER.

Going to the cabinets where all her mugs were, she realized her favorite one was missing. Her cousin Lucy Chen had gifted it to her for her birthday a couple of years back, the only thing she could have to afford at the time. But Valerie didn't care, it was the thought it count and she fell in love with it because it had Oogie Boogie on it, her favorite cartoon character from Nightmare Before Christmas.

"Jackass took my favorite mug."
