Two Days Later...

Sebastian and Jasper sat on the couch in the living room, waiting for Edward to show up. Everyone was on edge, hoping that the news wasn't horrible. Edward finally arrived, looking downcast and depressed. Esmè walked over to him with worry etched on her features.

"Edward? What's wrong?" Esmè asked.
"I broke up with Bella, and I'm leaving. It's too dangerous for her to be around me." Edward answered.
"What?" Sebastian growled.

Jasper slightly flinched at the wave of pure unbridled rage coming from Sebastian. He started protecting a wave of calm, but he felt his attempts immediately blocked. Everyone's eyes widened as Sebastian stood up from the couch.

"You told her that you don't love her and you left her in the forest?? WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING!" Sebastian roared.
"I'm just trying to protect her, Sebastian!" Edward exclaimed.
"YOU LEFT HER!! SHE'S STILL IN THE FOREST FREEZING TO DEATH BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPIDITY!" Sebastian retorted.
"Darlin? Please calm down. You need to focus on Bella." Jasper soothed.

Sebastian took a deep, unneeded breath and allowed Jasper's ability to wash over him like a soothing wave. He nodded in thanks and sped out the door, slamming Edward into the wall. He stopped for a moment to find Bella's scent. Once he found it, he took off running. Soon, he found her huddled up and passed out by a large tree. He picked her up and started to carry her to the police station where their father most likely was.

As he was walking, he caught the scent of a shifter. He stopped and waited for the wolf to make itself known. A tall man with short black hair made his appearance. He was tan and of Quilet descent. He was shirtless and had a surprised look on his face at seeing Sebastian. Sebastian's eyebrow arched as the man came closer, trying to figure out his scent.

"You know you could just ask me instead of sniffing me like a weirdo." Sebastian muttered.
"Sorry, you're just confusing. You look like a Cold One, but you smell like a Shifter and Cold One combined. What are you?" The man asked.
"I'm a Cold One that has the ability to mimic abilities. I thought one of your elders told you about me?" Sebastian said, confused.
"Yeah, Billy told me. I didn't think I'd meet you so quickly. I'm Sam, by the way." Sam introduced himself.
"I'm Sebastian, this is my sister Bella. I hope I haven't caused any shifts, I don't want to cause problems for you." Sebastian replied.
"No, you haven't. Huh, that's strange." Sam said to himself.
"What's wrong?" Sebastian asked.
"You smell and act like an alpha, I can't seem to get you to submit." Sam answered.
"I did make eye contact with Jacob. He's a true alpha, isn't he?" Sebastian informed Sam.
"He is, by the way, you're welcome to come onto the rez since you're a part of the pack now. I should let you get her warm. Being carried by you probably isn't helping." Sam said.

They separated, and as Sebastian carried Bella, he thought about what was going to happen. He got Bella home and ran back to the Cullens house. Everyone apart from Edward was waiting for him. He sighed and wrapped his arms around Jasper, resting his head on Jasper's shoulder. Carlisle stepped away from Esmè and addressed the family.

"Unfortunately, we can't stay here. People are starting to get suspicious of us and why we haven't aged. Alaska is safe for us to go back to if we so desire. Thoughts?" Carlisle asked.
"Emmett and I are going to do some traveling since we haven't done that in a few decades." Rosalie replied.
"Me and Xavier too, he hasn't been to Asia, so we're going there." Alice added.
"I'm goin to Alaska. If Sebastian wants to join me, he's welcome to." Jasper stated.
"I think I'll take you up on that offer." Sebastian agreed, his answer muffled by Jasper's flannel shirt.
"Very well." Carlisle said with a smile.
"Remember, our door is always open when you want to come home." Esmè reminded them in a motherly tone.

Everyone hugged and separated, each going on their own adventure. Jasper led Sebastian into the quiet house to pack and get ready. Sebastian had most of his clothes in Jasper's room. He planned to get his other things once he was done helping Jasper. For the rest of the night, the couple packed and made sure everything was ready to go.

The Next Day...

Sebastian opened the front door, meeting Charlie, watching a football game. He sighed and joined his dad on the couch. They sat in silence for a while until Sebastian broke the silence.

"Dad, I'm moving in with Jasper." Sebastian stated.
"You already did that, son." Charlie replied, still focused on the game.
"He and his parents are moving to Alaska. I want to go with them." Sebastian added.

Charlie paused the game and slowly turned to face Sebastian, worry in his eyes. Sebastian swallowed a large lump in his throat and continued.

"Dad, I don't want you to think that I'm abandoning you. I've already graduated and I want to start my life. Jasper makes me so happy, and I want to be with him for the rest of my life. I don't want you to be disappointed with me." Sebastian rambled.
"Son, I'm not disappointed. I'm happy that you found someone who makes you happy. All I have to ask is why Alaska?" Charlie asked.
"They have family up there, and Carlisle found a great hospital to work at. Are you really okay with me leaving? I'll call and send you updates. Will that make you worry less?" Sebastian clarified.
"Well, yeah, I want updates. You'll come and visit every now and again?" Charlie asked jokingly.
"Of course I will. I love you, dad." Sebastian confirmed.
"I love you too, Seb. You're leaving tomorrow, aren't you?" Charlie inquired.
"Today, actually. I just need to grab some things before I leave." Sebastian replied.
"Well, Bella's still asleep, so grab your things now. I'll tell her in the morning. I'm gonna miss you, Seb." Charlie said.
"I'm gonna miss you too, dad." Sebastian replied.

They both stood up and gave each other a long hug. After a moment, they separated, and Sebastian ran up to his room to grab the last few things he needed. As he was gathering everything, he decided to leave one of his sweaters on his bed for Bella to find. He sighed as he looked around his childhood home, knowing it was going to be a few years before he ever saw the house again.

He slowly walked down the stairs and gave Charlie another hug. He also gave Charlie a letter to give to Billy. Charlie nodded and said that he'd get it to him. Sebastian sighed as he heard Jasper's car roll into the driveway. Charlie walked Sebastain out of the house down the driveway and stopped at Jasper's car. Jasper got out and helped Sebastian get the last of his things into the trunk. Charlie watched the pair, happy that his son had found his someone. Jasper came up to Charlie to shake his hand.

"I promise that I'll keep your son safe. I'm goin to do my very best to make him happy." Jasper stated seriously.
"I'll hold you to that Jasper. If you break his heart, it's not me you'll have to worry about. It's him." Charlie said with a small smile.

Jasper nodded and rejoined Sebastian in his car. They both got in, and Sebastian waved to his father as they pulled out of the driveway. Charlie waved back and waited until he couldn't see the taillights.
