Volterra Italy…

The sun was bright, making Sebastian and Alice wince. Bella quickly grabbed a cowled hoodie and practically threw it at Sebastian. He caught it easily and gave his sister a look.

"Bells, I don't sparkle if I choose to." Sebastian relayed through Alice.
"Oh, right. I forgot, where's Edward?" Bella asked.
"He's going to be at the bell tower in the main square. We need to get going." Sebastian said.

Sebastian led the way, making sure Alice didn't get into the sunlight. He quickly found a car, and once the girls were in, he sped off. The car sped through the narrow streets, smoothly drifting through tight turns. Alice mentally directed him until they had to stop due to the crowds. Sebastian growled deep in his chest in frustration. He felt Bella's panic, which added to his slowly diminishing control.

"You both are going to have to find him. Sebastian, you know his scent,
so it'll be easy. I'll find you both. Get him out of sight!" Alice urged.

Bella and Sebastian quickly got out of the car and ran straight into the crowd. As Bella ran ahead, Sebastian stopped, closed his eyes, and inhaled. The faint scent of piano wood and forest caught his attention. He opened his eyes and smirked. He quickly caught up to Bella and gestured for her to follow him. Soon, they arrived at a large square full of people in red cloaks. Bella finally spotted Edward about to reveal himself.

She ran through the fountain, feeling Sebastian right behind her. Just as Edward was about to step out into the light, he felt a body slam into him, forcing him into the shade of the building. Bella gripped his shoulders, feeling relief that she was able to save him. Sebastian let out a groan, having misjudged his speed and landed right into the nearby wall. The noise startled Edward, who quickly turned to Sebastian, getting up from the rubble.

"Are you okay, Sebatian?" Edward questioned.
"Yeah, I'm fine. We've got company." Sebastian warned.

Bella and Edward turned to see Jane and Alec. Edward placed himself in front of Bella in an effort to protect her. Sebastian walked over, dusting his clothes off. He quickly stopped at the sight of Jane and made eye contact with her. His eyes flashed as he copied her ability, much to her surprise. Alec, seeing the interaction, moved to take control of the situation. As soon as he entered Sebastian's field of vision, he mistakenly made eye contact with the newborn. Sebastian's eyes flashed as he copied yet another ability.

Sebastian smirked at their thoughts of surprise and curiosity. Jane shook her head slightly and refocused on the situation at hand.

"My, my Edward. Trying to reveal ourselves in broad daylight? Aro is not happy about the fact that she has not been turned yet either." Jane said in monotone.

Before things could get ugly, Alice appeared. Jane tensed, not happy that she couldn't torture anyone. Alice smiled as if she didn't interrupt a potential fight. Alec smiled in automatic response, and his attention turned to Alice. Jane huffed, not liking how things were going.

"Aro would like to see you all. He's especially interested in meeting Jasper's mate." Jane said suddenly.
"Lead the way then!' Alice chirped.

Jane and Alec led the way to the underground entrance. The group of six stopped at a large elevator as Jane pressed the down button. Italian opera played through the speakers as the elevator went deep underground. Finally, the elevators opened, revealing a secretary in a blood red dress. She looked up at the group and gave a professional smile.

"Welcome to the Volterra Underground Tour. The kings are expecting all of you." The human secretary informed the group.

Alec and Jane nodded and led the group down a long winding hall. Sebastian looked around, trying to find escape points if the need arose. He sighed, frustrated that there were none. Jane and Alec finally stopped the group at a set of grand wooden doors. Jane knocked, then opened the door.
