bonnie sat down next to lane whos eyes are fixated to his puppet.
"are u busy rn"
"why?"
"because i want you to help me"
he raised an eyebrow and stopped whatever he was doing
"with what?"
"you know how to do card tricks right?"
"sure yea, brought a card?"
bonnie reached the deck of cards from her pocket
"brought a looot of cards" she handed it to him
lane took and shuffled the cards with his one hand while his other shuffled the cards.
he chuckled by the face she was making while he shuffled the cards
"oh you like that? i haven't even started yet"
"whatever, just do the magic trick"
"okay okay, choose a card here"
"erm ok"
"look at your card then put it back anywhere on the deck right here."
the veins from his hand were popping out from the amount of cards.
"okay now do u remember your card? are you thinking of it?"
she nodded in response while lane shuffled the cards again
"alright now can u point where you think your card is?"
"here"
she pointed the top of the deck
"yea, it's in the deck of cards."
"no i meant my card is on top."
"im just kidding, bon jeez.."
"so you think you're card is on top?"
"uhuh."
lane took the card on top of the deck and showed it to bonnie.
"is this your card?"
"yes"
she lied
"really?"
"no"
"is this not your card then- okay it doesn't matter"
bonnie laughed at how annoyed lane reacted.
"its not okay!"
"okay, is this your card then?"
bonnie gasped out loud when the card was switched out and was changed by the card she chose in a snap of lane's fingers
"are u impressed?"
"UH?? YES?? so can u teach me it?"
"na-uh! a real magician never reveals his tricks"
"then what was the point of u showing me that if you're not gonna show me?"
"i could tell you, if you do something from me in return"
he had a smug on his face and bonnie could already tell where this was going.
"what is it this time?"
"i need an assistant for my gigs"
"gigs?"
"i entertain people for money like a magician. every magician needs an assistant, you know?"
"fine, now teach me! how in the world did you do that trick?"
"haha, that's easy!"
