"Morning (Y/n)!"

The children called as they ran through the streets that filled Camelot, Turning around in her walk the female grinned at the kids

"Morning to you too" (Y/n) smiled as she waved to them before her eyes landed on the things that they were carrying "Try not to cause too much chaos, Troublemakers!" She called with a chuckle making them laugh

"No promises!" One of the boys laughed as he raised his hand which held a tomato "Who's the lucky winner today?!" He asked before throwing it at a kid from another group

With that, The (H/c) continued walking towards the castle's grounds where she residents. The basket she held in one of her hands was filled to the brim with different types of plants that she was sure would come into use later on

'This wasn't here this morning'  (Y/n) thought as she walked through the gates of the castle but what she saw in the middle of the courtyard was an execution post 'Another poor victim...'  She then looked around at the crowd which was filled with whispers and murmurs

"Another execution today..." A voice whispered as the female neared them "Morning (Y/n)"

"Good morning you two," She said with a soft smile "What is the story this time?" She asked as she switched the basket between her hands

"They're executing Thomas today, The one who lives with his creepy mother downtown," The man said as he looked around while wiping his hands from the dirt "He was accused of using... Magic" He said the last word in a whisper

"Must be tragic for the mother..." The other male said before looking at the ground "To lose a son, And probably to something he didn't do"

"I think we should trust the King's judgment" (Y/n) spoke as the two looked at her "After all neither one of us wishes for the same fate as Thomas"

"You're right about that..."

Silence filled the courtyard and the crowd quieted down when they heard the hitting of drums before three people walked out of the dungeon area, Two of them were Camelot Guards while the one in the middle was none other than Thomas himself

"Let this serve as a lesson to all!" A certain voice rang through the air making everyone look at the balcony right above the execution scaffold "This man, Thomas James Collins" Uther spoke loudly "Is an adjudged guilty of conspiring to use enchantments and Magic," He said making silence fall over the crowd

"And purse to the Laws of Camelot, I, Uther Pendragon" He looked around the crowd like a brave lion "Have decreed that such practices are banned on penalty of death. I pride myself as a fair and just King" He continued
