This is not your typical fantasy story where the female lead is an ordinary girl in the mortal world, and after turning 18, she was being chased by 'bad people' and was saved by her knight in shining armor. After being rescued, she'll know that her whole life was a lie and that she is the long-lost daughter of the royal family in a fantasy land.

My story is too far from that.

Well, we do have similarities, but unfortunately, I was not born to be one of the royalty. I was born to be the villainess of this whole fantasy land. I wasn't adopted by a loving mortal couple when I was still in the human world; instead, I had lived in the street ever since I was thrown. I used to beg for food and money and sleep on the road next to the garbage bin. What a f*ck up life, I must say.

After 18 years of living on the street, someone finally found me. It wasn't a prince charming or a knight in shining armor but my evil uncle. My uncle was not the kindest person I met; he's the worst person I know—besides me. My uncle also did not treat me well; he ordered me around like a dog, and in return, he would teach me how to use magic here in Thelea.

He was a good teacher because I wouldn't be called the queen of all evil things right now if it weren't for him. After years of living with my uncle, he finally died. He did not die because of a war between evil and good; he died because a witch cursed him. That witch was also the love of his life. The only woman he loved. Tragic.

I did everything not to follow my uncle's path, but unfortunately, I fell in love. I thought the love I had was genuine, different from the love experienced by my uncle. But life really wanted to ruin the things I had built—my reputation and my power.

His name was Ceberus. He was wounded and barely breathing when I found him. I was not the kind of person who would pity a wounded man, but because he was begging me to save him, I remembered those days when I was begging people. He is also handsome; who wouldn't keep him, right? I brought him back to my kingdom and did everything to save him.

Days later, he was healed. He did everything to thank me, killing the unnecessary people in my path, hunting boar and animal meats for me, giving me flowers, and doing other things that pleased me. Eventually, my heart fell for him as well, as he did everything to win it.

I didn't know I would fall in love with him without asking or knowing who he truly was. I only know his name, and he used to be a hunter. I didn't ask him anything more because we had been together for years. He's my trusted aide and the love of my life. I just did not expect that he will be the one who'll end my life.

"Ceberus, where have you been?" I asked. He had been gone for weeks, and I hadn't gotten any news from him since the day he left.

"I was looking for a gift since your birthday is almost near," he answered and smiled. I smiled back at him and signaled him to stand near me.

"You are so sweet, Ceberus. Thank you so much," I stated. He walked near me, and I opened my arms for him to hug me. He did hug me, and at the same time, he also thrust a knife into my heart. "H-how..."

Ceberus laughed like a psychotic man and stood 3 meters away from me. "I never expected you to lower your guard for me, your majesty." He pulled the knife from my chest and said, "This knife is made from a cold stone. You can only find this in the River of the Dead. This is my birthday gift for you; sorry for being four days advanced, Morana."

Cold stones are the only thing that would threaten the life of a villainess like me. If it is thrust into your heart, you will surely die. Ceberus knew everything about me, from my strengths to my weaknesses. I slightly laughed and looked at him straight in the eyes. "W-what have I done wrong for you to betray me?"

"Betray you? Morana, I did not betray you because we were enemies in the first place. I am Ceberus Alkanis, the eldest son of the alpha in the Alkania Kingdom. I did everything for you to trust me so that I could carry out my plan of killing you," he answered. He once again laughed and continued, "And what did you do? You have been the queen of all evil things for hundreds of years; you have killed many people, ordered those evil creatures to do bad things, burned down kingdoms, and many more. Should I say it one by one?"

I want to laugh, cry, fight back—I want to ask if he also loved me, but I think it no longer matters because in a few minutes, I, too, will turn into ashes. It's ironic that the one you saved from death is the one who will kill you. It's heartbreaking that after he made you fall in love, you'll realize that you're the only one who truly loved between the two of you.

This might be retribution for all the bad things I did, but I did not regret any of them, for I know that I did not kill innocent people. I might be called the most powerful evil being, but I never did something that would harm the innocent. There are also people under me who do every evil thing under my name, but I did not order them to do all those evil things.

Ah, I still followed my uncle's path after all. Undoubtedly, love is the bane of my family's existence.

Before my body and soul perished, I cast a spell to transmigrate into another person's body. And before my body vanished, I whispered, "Ceberus, may you find another love that would also cause you betrayal, and in the name of being the queen of all villains, your kingdom will perish with me."

Everything went black, and the last thing I heard, Ceberus announced that I was dead.

"MORANA, THE VILLAINESS IS FINALLY DEAD!"
