Tia POV
Getting up in the mornings are the worst, especially in the winter when the sun takes its time to rise. Once I got changed, I grabbed my overnight oats and made myself some coffee, when my phone rang. Quickly glancing at the caller ID which read, Asher Kors (Boss), I picked up the phone.
"Tia Nikolaou speaking. How can I help you this morning, sir," I said into the phone.
"Miss Nikolaou when you come to the office can you bring me my usual, please," the deep familiar voice spoke through the phone.
"Good morning, Mr Kors, I hope you had a good night's rest, I'll get your usual breakfast, don't worry, sir. I'll see you at the office in 30," I say drinking my coffee.
"Thank you, I'll see you at the office, Miss Nikolao," he says before hanging up.
Drowning my coffee, I placed my breakfast in my bag, with some files and my mac. Then I put on my beige trench coat and headed to my car.
At the office...
The elevator opened to the top floor where I greeted the presidential for receptionist, Alex. "Morning Alex, grabbed you a coffee and breakfast as well," I said giving him his share of breakfast knowing full well the 30 year old, who's like my brother wouldn't have had anything in the morning.
"You shouldn't have Tia, but thank you," he said giving me a quick hug which a embraced. Alex's hugs where always warm and nice, but very short.
"Oh before I forget, we received some flowers with a card for you," he said bring up a bouquet of flowers.
"They look amazing, was a name left?" I asked.
"Yeah, someone called Anthony, do you know him?" Alex asked.
"Um, I am not sure," I say taking the card out of the flowers, "can you give the flowers to someone else?"
"Yeah don't worry I know the drill, T," Alex said as he winked, then got back to work.
Quickly leaving my things in my office, I take my iPad and his breakfast.
Knock. Knock.
"Come in," I heard a deep voice from inside the room call.
"Morning Mr Kors," I said as I walked in, like I have done for the past 5 years.
"Your black coffee, sandwich, protein bar and 2 separate shots of espresso," I said as I placed the items on his coffee table.
"There is a meeting at 11, with the sales and design team for the new product launching in August. Then Mrs Vanderbilt wanted to have lunch with you at 1, she's bringing her close friends daughter, Maya, as well. Mr Ryan cancelled his appointment at 3 because his daughter is currently in hospital, we're going to send her a get well soon package. He also said he'll call to reschedule. Then at 5, Landon, Mr Andrew's son wants to meet with you for investment purposes," I said scrolling through the schedule on my iPad.
Mr Kors slowly got up from his desk and moved to the couch, he had removed his suit jacket, the shirt folded to his elbows showing his veins and his all black outfit, made me feel like I was looking at a model.
Coming to work for him was like seeing a model, and being serotonin high daily.
Snapping out of my 2 second trance I asked him, "do you need anything changed?"
"See if you can cancel or rearrange lunch with my mother," he said taking a bit out of his sandwich.
"I'll see what I can do since she did threaten to come to the office again, if you didn't make it today," I said slowly.
"Tia, just tell her I am busy and can't make it, I don't the energy to have lunch with her," he said looking at me, to which I nod and write down a quick note to remind me to call her.
"Anything else?" I questioned.
"No. But thanks for the food," he said giving me a quick nod.
"No worries, sir." I said leaving his office.
Entering my office I placed the iPad down on my desk and hung my coat in the built-in cupboard. Sitting in my seat I take out my mac, documents and my oats. I looked at the time and it read 8.10 am. So I started my work, such as, approving documents for Mr Kors to see, reviewing any documents that we currently sitting on my desk, answering calls and arranging any meeting necessary.
Remembering I needed to call Ace's mother, I dialled her number on my office phone.
"Good morning, Mrs Vanderbilt, it's Mr Kors' P.A, Tia Nikolaou speaking, how are you doing?" I calmly said through the phone.
"Ah, yes Tia. Good morning, I am doing well, how are you, my dear? Please don't tell me your calling to cancel on me are you?" She said in a worry.
"I am okay. Unfortunately ma'am, there was an emergency that came up and needed to be dealt with, so Mr Kors can't make it to lunch," I said, knowing how many time he's done this, "however, ma'am he has sent you your favourite flowers, chocolate and tickets to that new exclusive spa event, as an apology."
"Tell him that the gifts will not work, but I will happily accept them. Also, put in his schedule that we are having a family dinner next Friday at 7, and that there will be a gala in 2 weeks I'll get my assistant to send the details over," She said calmly, as I quickly scribble down what she just told me.
"I'll let Mr Kors know about them, but I can't promise you anything," I said calmly.
"Ah, no worries, dear. Right, before I forget Tia, remind Ace that he has to bring a partner with him, to show investors that he has the idea of settling down," Mrs Vanderbilt said.
"Of course, Ma'am. I'll let him know."
"Well then, Tia have a great lunch dear, and make sure that son of mine does eat as well." She said happily.
"Have a great day, ma'am." I say before she hangs up.
Around 11, we had a the teams meeting which went surprisingly well. Then I went for a quick lunch, remembering to bring some back for Ace.
Finishing the reviews of the urgent files I take them into Ace's office.
"I've got some the files you need to sign by today. Mrs Vanderbilt said that there is a family dinner on Friday at 7, and there is a gala on Saturday in 2 weeks, you'll need to get a partner for that. Do you want me to hire someone?" I ask.
"I'll think about it, remind me next week about it." He says.
I take the files he signed and sorted them in my office.
After that I continued working, I gave Ace his last update of the day and left to go home around 8pm.
Getting home I had a bubble bath and dinner before going to sleep.
