Kyren drove us to the beach and we just sat on the sand passing around the blunt. "Bro, we got school next month" Kahlil whined.
"Please shut the fuck up Kah, don't remind me" Key'mani sighed, everyone else just slightly chuckled. I glanced over at Aalijah and he glances over at me, he looked away from me as soon as he saw I was already looking at him, but when he turned his head he had a smile on his face.
I slid my phone out my back pocket going to text Aalijah, I glanced up at him once more before texting him.
"Meet me by the bathroom in 10?", Aalijah checked his phone and gave me a slight nod.
"Y'all, I gotta piss, while i'm over there do you want anything from the van?" I questioned standing up brushing the sand off my legs.
I know fucking around with Aalijah is wrong, it's big rule that we don't date inside our friend group cause it can mess it up, but it's so hard, we've grown together and our souls feel intertwined. Sure I've grown up with everyone else in the group but it's different with Aalijah, he just gets me.
I'm not saying the others don't get me, i'm saying he gets me on a super personal level, and i'm willing to risk some friends to be with him, cause friends come and go but if they're real they'll get mad but they'll stay.
Me and Aalijah aren't really dating, I don't know what we are but i'm okay with that. I see Aalijah walking towards me and a smile falls on my face . He wraps his arms around giving me a kiss on the cheek, "This is so risky" he mumbled in my ear.
"I know, but we gotta take risks sometimes", he just kinda shrugged it off and his energy was different. I pushed him away from me so I could see his face, "What's wrong?"
He just shook his head, he started feeling up my body and I smacked his hands away. "Are you serious?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"What? isn't that what you called me over for?" , I shook my head "I just wanted to talk".
"We can talk over the phone, the hell is wrong with you?", he sounded kind of irritated. "I feel like you're just using me, and we never go out, like just us".
He started laughing a little bit, "Willow, we aren't dating, I don't know what you expect from me but get that shit out your head"
It just fell quiet, "That doesn't mean you can just use me for my body? Even if we aren't dating it's a certain amount of respect you're supposed to have, even if we're just friends.
He just grabbed his forehead "We're friends who fuck, what we do is just for fun, chill out"
My eyebrows raised and I was just in absolute shock. This wasn't the Aalijah I knew, the one who I felt connected with. Then again, was I just being delusional and blinded by myself?
"What the hell is wrong with you?" I said in almost disgusted tone, he just rolled his eyes. "Ion got time for this Will, talk to me when you're done trippin on whatever weed Kahlil gave you", He just walked away, not looking back. Maybe I was trippin.
I sighed as I started walking back to my friends, I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and I pulled it out. It was Talia, "Hey Tata"
"Hey, everything okay?"
"Yeah, I just had some sand in my pants"
"Oh alright, we were just worried"
"Oh okay" , I pushed my phone in my pocket and hopped over a rock.
I saw my friends all laughing and talking but not Aalijah, he was on his phone. I can't worry about him right now, I just have to let him chill out.
I sat next to Key'mani and Breanna and Key gave me a hug, "girl, I thought someone took you" she laughed.
Out the corner of my eye I could see Breanna get up and walk away, Where is she going?

Out the corner of my eye I see Aalijah grab his stuff and get up, Where is he going? I give him a few minutes before I get up and follow him. He went to the van and just climbed inside.
I pulled the van door open to reveal Aalijah just down across the van seats, he looked up at me and then looked away. "Hey lijah, you alright?" I questioned climbing inside the van.
"Yeah, just too hot out there" I nodded my head, "you ain't greening out, right?" I chuckled causing Aalijah to chuckle too.
"Nah i'm straight, Thanks for asking though" he turned off his phone placing it on his chest.
"Yeah no problem" I just looked at him, he was so handsome. I could stare at him all day, "Hold on" I said leaning towards him, he had a whole bunch of sand in his hair, how did no one notice?
I leaned towards him dusting off some sand, I could feel him looking at me, watching my lips, just observing me.
I looked down to meet his eyes and we just looked at each other, I could hear my heart beating in my ears and i'm sure if he was any closer he would hear it too.
Aalijah leaned forward pressing his lips against mine, I closed my eyes moving my hand from his head to his shoulder. He brought me closer to him, at this point I was having trouble supporting myself on the seat.
His hands roamed my body just feeling my bare skin, My skin felt hot a fiery when he touched me, like his hands left marks, but I knew there was nothing there.
My hands felt hot on his bare shoulder, it may be wrong but it felt so right and so good.
He pulled me down on him so now I was sitting on his lap, "Why you so far? You scared?".
"I'm not scared" I rested my hands on his chest, "Prove it" he sat up with his back pressed again the wall. "How?" he just looked at me and shrugged.
"Whatever you have in mind, we can't do it in the van just incase the others come back", I just nodded my head.

"Y'all i'm starving" I sighed putting down my coke, "Me too" Key'mani sighed. "What we gonna eat?" Naomi questioned.
"I just want something simple, Like a burger and fries with a milkshake" Zahlil chimed in, "No for reaaal" Damien added
"Five guys?" Willow suggested, Talia nodded her head, "Yeah, and i'm pretty sure there isn't one too far from here".
I saw Key'mani look around "Where's lijah and bre?" , "Oh, I gave Lijah the keys to the van so maybe bre's there with him". Everyone else just shrugged.
"Okay, y'all ready to go?" Willow asked, Everyone gave different versions of yes and we grabbed our stuff.

"Yo i'm sickkk" Damien said laughing, holding his stomach, "It's not that funny" Key whined. "It is funny, you looked so goofy Freshman year" Naomi chuckled.
"To be fair we all looked little fucked up" I chimed in, "Thank you Ky" Key'mani smiled. I glanced at Aalijah who was in the corner of the table fucking up his burger.
"Damn man, is it good?" I said causing everyone to look at Lijah, "Hell yeah nigga, i'm starved he laughed.
