(Note, Batgirl is Barbara Gordon and Robin is Dick Grayson)

Batgirl stands on the edge of the building, hearing a presence land behind her.

"Not now." She says, not even turning.

"Then when? Because you won't listen anywhere else!" Robin yells, moving to stand next to her.

Batgirl growls lowly before standing up and turning around, speaking, "For the love of Christ, Robin, I didn't ask you to follow me!"

"If I didn't then you would get hurt!" Robin responds.

"Says who!?" Batgirl asks.

"Me and Batman!" Robin answers.

"I can handle myself! I'm not a rookie anymore! I'm not a kid!" Batgirl defends.

Robin goes to respond, "Neither am I! But we still need to be careful! You got shot in the arm the other day, Babs-"

Batgirl interrupts, "Watch the names in the field! You can't keep a secret, can you!?"

"What was I supposed to do!? Not tell him that you got hurt!?" Robin asks incredulously.

"Yes! He's not my father! I don't have to tell him every single thing that happens in my life!" Batgirl answers.

"He just wants to keep you safe!" Robin attempts to defend.

"No, he doesn't, Robin! He wants to control us! That is his whole point! Maybe once you start to see that, we can actually make this work!" She says, turning back around and jumping down.

Robin groans loudly, following after her and hopping down into the suspiciously silent looking alley.

"Look, Batgirl-" Then once he steps over a sewer cover, the whole falls through with Robin falling, Batgirl turning and jumping down after him in worry.

Once he hits the floor, and Batgirl lands, they hear a loud buzz, and something covers the area above them. Batgirl looks up at the ceiling before looking over at Robin on the ground as he stands up.

"What happened?" He asks groggily, holding his head.

Batgirl answers, "A trap. Set by who?"

Robin looks through the bars, seeing a panel missing the opening completely along with the wires completely ripped out. "I would assume Killer Croc or Bane, but seeing as Croc isn't smart enough to set this u and currently in Arkham, I am going to have to say Bane." Robin says, using the detective skills taught to him.

"Good eye, Robin. Too bad you couldn't decipher that before we got locked in here!" She yells, even angrier.

"I stepped on a sewer grate! I didn't know it would fall!" Robin defends, looking around. "There is no way out. Bane thought ahead. We will have to call Batman for help."

Batgirl pouts slightly, glaring at him. "Of course. We both have to hit our emergency beacon." Batgirl says, reaching down to her belt and clicking the beacon on, Robin doing the same.

"Now we wait." The bird explains, leaning back against the wall and getting zapped. "Ow!" He moves forward, turning around, pain shooting up his back.

"Bars are electrified, Robin. You can't touch them." She explains to him, like he's a child.

"I think I got that, thanks." Robin sasses, sitting down in the middle of the cell and waiting. batgirl just scoffs and continues to look around, searching for a way out.

A while later, Robin is laying down in the middle at Batgirl continues looking around. "We have already established that there is no way out, Babs."

Batgirl turns around. "Names!" She shouts.

"There are no cameras or microphones! I checked! I'm not dumb!" Robin yells back.

Batgirl glares. "With how you behave, that is difficult to believe." Robin sputters.

"Look, I'm sorry I told him, I was just worried about you. I needed you to be safe, and if that makes me wrong, then I don't want to be right." Robin explains.

Batgirl looks over to him. "You don't need to be worried. I can handle myself." Batgirl says, Robin nodding.

Then he says, "I know I don't need to be. But I want to be. Because I care about you. I know you don't like it, but it's something I always have on my mind."

Batgirl looks back at him as he sits up, her walking over to him and sitting in front of him. "I care about you too, but you don't see me telling Batman every single thing that happens to you. Your safety is always on my mind too, but I don't use that as an excuse to rat on you, now do I?" She finishes.

Robin swallows, shaking his head. "No. You don't. But I'm not hiding behind it. I am just giving my reasoning behind my actions. I am sorry for betraying your trust, but you being okay was my first priority. If you choose to hate me for it, then I will accept that." Robin explains.

Batgirl takes a slow breath, opening her mouth and closing it, trying to find a response. "i don't hate you. I never could, and never will. Heavily dislike your decisions on the other hand... I can do that." They both laugh softly. "Dick... I don't like how after I asked you not to, made you promise not to, that you did it anyways. You promised you wouldn't, then you did it anyways. That is what I'm angry about."

He nods. "Okay. I'm sorry for breaking my promise. From now on, promises to each other won't be broken."

Batgirl raises an eyebrow. "You promise?" She asks.

He raises a gloved pinky. "Yes. I will even pinky promise." He gives a cheeky grin.

Batgirl laughs before interlacing their pinkies. "Okay. But this is a pinky promise. You break the promise, I am allowed to break your finger." Robin's mouth widens.

"No! That's not how it works!" He exclaims.

Batgirl grins. "Oh, yes, it is. That is definitely how it works." She tells him.

He shakes his head before saying, "Is not."

She nods before replying, "Is too."

"Is not."

"Is too."

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

"Is not!"

"Is too!"

"Is not-" He gets cut off when her lips press to his, his eyes widening in slight shock.

He barely gets the opportunity to reciprocate when she pulls away and gives a devious smirk. "Is too."

He nods, partially distracted. "Yeah. Yeah, okay. Is too." Batgirl grins, pushing forward and planting another kiss on him, this time both of them really leaning into it.

Batman just opened the cage, looked at their states, and left without a word when he managed to free them.

He really needs to make comms standard equipment, and quickly.

(A/N: Again, another request from @LCorbett04. This was a little harder to write than the others because I had no idea where to take it. Hope you got what you had in mind. Thanks for requesting. Oh, and again, feel free to request things with OCs in them. Can be any of mine if you really want to see something involving them.)
