(requested by Tucktuck22. Shortly after episode 3, Max and Tara kept talking and after a few months he got the courage to ask her out. She said yes and they went on a date. This takes place a few days after and a few days after they officially started dating. They are about to reveal this to the whole school.)
Tara wouldn't admit it to anyone, not even her boyfriend (that would take awhile to get used to), Max. He was the perfect match for her. A complete perfect match. She really liked him, even before he asked her out, obviously. Her crush started after the dinner party between their parents, when Max caused a lot to happen which she found hilarious.
He not only rigged the dinner to explode, but he released scorpions everywhere, put burping pills in the tea, and had his sister put hot sauce in the soup! It was perfect! One of the best nights in her life to be honest and she was so glad he asked her out. She smiled to herself at the thought as she grabbed her backpack and strolled into the kitchen, still with a small smile on her face.
Cole noticed this as he was eating his cereal. "What put a smile on that face? Normally you're glaring at everything." The smile fell and she whirled around to face him before giving him a mighty glare that he was completely unaffected by. Heck, he seemed to relax! "There we go. Back to normal."
Tara glared at him some more before opening a cabinet in their really large kitchen and grabbing a breakfast bar. She took the bar out of it's packaging before throwing the wrapper away and walking outside.
She took a bite and turned in the direction of the school before walking. She was able to finish the bar before she made it to her and Max's meeting spot. Her stomach felt weird. Was this what the 'butterflies' were in the stomachs of those princesses in those sappy movies? She hated those movies. So did Max, understandably.
He pushed off of a wall as she got there. She gladly opened her arms and gave him a hug that he returned. After they separated he hesitated but she covered for him by getting on her toes and giving him a kiss that he returned.
Once they pulled away she smiled at him before she started to walked down the street. She has never smiled this much about anybody in her entire life. The thought of him brought a smile to her face and when she was with him it was always there. What was he doing to her?
Max caught up with her. "You sure you want to do this, this early, Dark Empress?" Ah, the nickname. She loved it and preferred it more than her name which she could not explain and would never admit to anyone! Well, maybe she would admit it to Max someday but that day was not today.
She nodded with conviction. "I'm sure. It's best to get it over with as soon as possible." Max nodded.
"Alright then. I'll follow your lead."
Tara looked confused but smirked. "Follow my lead, huh? This will be fun." Max gave her a small nervous look.
They arrived to school together at the same time that Phoebe, Cherry and Cole got there. Cole and Phoebe were holding hands, because unlike Max and Tara, they liked PDA.
After a second of silence Phoebe asked suspiciously, "Why did you two arrive together?"
Max glared. "What? I can't walk with my best and only friend to school, Pheebs? What's so wrong with that?" Max was defensive. It was a really cute. Why did she use that word? She hated that word.
"You can, but that doesn't explain why you were so close either."
Max glared. "Leave us alone, Phoebe. Keep your nose in your business, not mine." Max breezed past her angrily, shoulder checking her on the way making her stumble slightly. Tara was going to follow him but Cole got a look of rage and followed him into the school, clearly angry.
