Ep9: Learning about Devils

The club room interior is a wood-paneled room with Victorian-style couches and chairs along the walls. One side is set up to be able to be used as a bath, and a large Gremory Family magic circle is also there to allow teleportation to and from clients.

Sitting on one of the Victorian-style couches is Rias while her peerage members stood behind her. On the other couch across from her is Kendra and Gwen.

"Thank you for agreeing to meeting us. I assure you this won't be a waste of time." Rias smiled. Gwen had her arms crossed looking at the red head with a skeptical expression while Kendra stared at Akeno who just smiled back.

"Yeah... Who are you guys anyways?" Gwen asked. "And what's with the uh..." She glanced around the room. It was dark and the only light was from the candles lit up.

"I am Rias Gremory, the ones behind are Akeno Himejima, Yuuto Kiba, Koneko Toujou, and lastly my newest member Issei Hyoudou."

"The perv!" Kendra points at Issei causing him to do a spit take.

"H-hey!"

"Focus dweeb!/perv." Gwen slapped Kendra at the same time Koneko punched Issei.

"Ahem, as I was saying, these four are a part of my peerage. We are devils." Bat-like wings sprouted from everyone's back.

"Huh?!"

Gwen looks at the group in disbelief. "Th-that shouldn't be possible? And what about those three from earlier?"

"Oh! Was the pedophile in the trench coat a devil too?" Kendra asked.

"No, those are fallen angels. They're part of the three factions. The Three Factions are the three groups of Fallen Angels, Devils, and Angels." Rias explained. "Now, what about that watch on your wrist Kendra?"

"Oh, the watch?" Kendra looked down at her left wrist.

"Uh, the first night we arrived here in Kouh, I went out for a walk and found it." Kendra explained. "It allows me to turn into ten different aliens. And that pedo fallen angel had attacked me."

"Pedo...fallen angel?" Kiba says confused.

"Oh! That trench coat guy right?" Issei asked.

"Yeah! Him! But I scared him off when I was Heatblast."

"She also created a forest fire."

"It was an accident!"

Rias studied both Kendra and Gwen, something about the two girls didn't feel fully human. She could tell that Gwen has the potential for using magic, and Kendra had that strange watch. 'I wonder... Could they beat him?'

"Before we continue, I have an offer to make." Rias spoke causing the two cousins to stop bickering.

"Would the both of you like to join my peerage? We treat each other like family. It's okay to say no if you don't want to."

"You want us to be your servants?" Gwen asked.

"Well, technically you're not actual servants but yes." Rias answers. Both Kendra and Gwen glanced at each other then back at Rias and back to each other again.

"Mind giving us a moment?" Kendra asks, Rias nods and Gwen stands up pulling Kendra to the side with her.

"So... We're gonna say no right?" Gwen asks. Kendra glanced behind her to see Akeno who gave her a small wave.

"Hehe~ I don't know about you but-" Gwen flicks her forehead. "Ow!"

"You idiot! You're seriously going to give up your humanity for some girl?" Gwen crossed her arms.

"It was a joke. Besides, I don't like being told what to do." Kendra says. "We've made our decision!"

"The answers no."

"I see, that's perfectly fine. I was expecting that." Rias says calmly. "Maybe we could work on something else? A partnership?"

"Like what?" Questioned Kendra.

"In exchange for you helping us with problems, I'll pay you. Any type of reward be it food or money. Do we have a deal?" Rias put out both hands for Kendra and Gwen to shake.

"Money!?!" Both girls' eyes changed into dollar signs. "DEAL!" They both rapidly shake Rias' hands.

'Hehehe! So many clothes I could buy! This is a dream come true!' All of Gwen's logical thinking went straight out the window.

'So many video games, comics and food! I'm gonna be rich!' Kendra grinned.

Meanwhile Rias is now regretting her decision.
