Rlly short one- 535 words

The house was quiet.
All was well-- Micheal had been put down to rest in just the other room, Ranboo and Tubbo were sleeping soundly in their shared bed.
Until the house wasn't quiet.

They both jolted awake to the sound of something shattering. A shared glance was exchanged between them, both of their eyes darting to the corridor where it sounded like it came from.
"Should we check it out?" Tubbo whispered, slowly standing up from their bed.
"What if Micheal is in trouble?" Ranboo muttered-- fully upright now, grabbing Tubbo's hand.

Hand-in-hand, they both snuck over to Michael's room-- to discover he was nowhere to be seen. A shared look of dread spread across their faces upon looking at his empty room. Tubbo grabbed onto Ranboo's pajama shirt, hauling them into the hallway to investigate the house further.

They both assumed the shatter came from the kitchen, which is where they went first. The floor creaked under them-- taking each and every step in plain dark until they reached the room that they desired. Ranboo took careful precaution to stealthily slide over to the light switch. They flicked it on, and --

"Micheal?" Tubbo stammered, putting the small weapon he weld back into his pocket.
"Where the fuck did you get a knife?" Ranboo questioned, quickly turning their attention back to Micheal-- who was crying on the floor, next to a broken vase.

"Oh baby, what happened? Are you hurt?" Tubbo kneeled down to him, gently stroking his head.
Micheal looked up to him in tears, and pleaded out an almost silent "I'm sorry,"
-Ranboo interrupted, "Micheal, what do you have to be sorry about? What happened?"

Micheal looked down once again, and guiltily explained-- "I was trying to get some water, but I couldn't reach the light, so I knocked the cup over. I'm really sorry, I didn't mean to."

Tubbo looked up at Ranboo in worry, coaxing them to kneel next to Micheal as well.
Ranboo tucked Micheal over their arm, gently lifting him into their embrace. "Oh Micheal, you have nothing to be sorry about. We're just glad that you're not hurt."

Micheal looked up at them, and was met with Tubbo swiping away a remaining tear lingering on Michael's face.
"You promise?" Micheal gulped.

Tubbo planted a kiss on his forehead, and whispered- "I promise, Micheal."

Micheal smiled, and nodded solemnly when Ranboo suggested that he sleep with Tubbo and Ranboo.

"I'll get to cleaning the vase, you wanna put him to bed Tubs?"
Tubbo walked off into the hallway leading to their room, humming a tune to Micheal, who looked exhausted.

Ranboo swept up the mess, and made sure to get Micheal a proper glass of water before walking back to their room.
A tired smile beamed over their face as they walked in to find both of them were already in a sleepy daze, lying on their bed breathing gently.

After setting the glass down, Ranboo climbed in with the two, leaning over to give Tubbo and Micheal a kiss on their forehead.
They settled down into bed, Micheal between them and Tubbo-- dozing peacefully.

And the house was quiet again.
