Tubbo was lying in his bed, sighing. He had a lovely cottage in the biome of his dreams-- the comfiest room, paintings made and hung by his own hands, the softest bed known to mankind--

But nobody to share it with.

He guessed the perfect guy just hadn't come along yet. The server wasn't that big. He couldn't help but think--would the perfect guy.. ever come along?

He waved the thoughts from his head as he rose from his bed, tossing his hand-woven covers somewhere he didn't care to perceive, his fluffy hair falling to his shoulders. "Stupid sleepless nights." He grumbled, rubbing his eyes warily. Tubbo lazily put on a cardigan, covering his pajama shirt and pants.

"I'll just go outside for a bit. Catch some fresh air," Tubbo grumbled as he stepped out the door. He was hit with overcast skies, and a breathtaking view of the scenery around the cottage.

He dazzled at the view, as his eyes glistened from the faint glow of the morning sun. "Might as well take a walk before it rains." He decided, stepping off of the wooden landing and walking down the cottage stairs.

As he took a walk through the wet grass around him he looked around, squinting at a faint glow coming from deep in the forest. Through the ringing in his right ear, he heard a strange, desperate noise coming from the glow through the trees.

He looked cautiously back to his cottage, debating whether he should go back in and go to sleep. A quick glance to the still water interrupted by the slow trickling of soft morning rainfall, and a moment of thinking ensued before Tubbo settled to check out the strange noise.

As he trought along the forest bed through a thin, dubious break in the trees, the glowing was becoming more intense, as the noises grew more and more vexatious.

The soft pads on the bottom of his feet grew rough, as the convoy through the troublesome path was littered with branches, twigs, and decay of all kinds; wet-- as a product of the rainfall.

"Fuck." Tubbo muttered, after a particularly harsh drag through the mud made him stumble. As one last glance through the thick trees seemed more.. momentous than the last, he decided to hike through the dense trees and trudge his way to the now clearly distressed... animal? Mob?

After a long, begrudgingly taxing walk for 4 in the morning, Tubbo came up on a shabby excuse for what looked to be shelter from the rain. The shelter seemed to swell and bend in the now intense and booming rain. The glowing seemed to be emerging from within the small shelter, with a light purple glow taking over the surrounding forest bed around them.

Were those... Ender particles? Was an enderman hiding here? Tubbo didn't care, nor did he want to find out. He slowly backed away from the shelter, mumbling curses for his stupidity; what a stupid idea to go out in the middle of a storm looking for some mystery creature- at 4am to say the least.

Just as Tubbo was backing away-- a twig, the size of a blade of grass snapped under his foot. Tubbo looked in terror to the small shelter, watching horrified as a tall figure emerged cautiously from it-- looking distressed and in pain.

"⊑⟒⌰⌰⍜? ⍙⊑⍜'⌇ ⏁⊑⟒⍀⟒?" The figure asked, blocking their face from the rain, sizzling sounds coming from the arm that covered their alluring eyes.

Tubbo could... vaguely translate what they were saying. With all the extra time he had, might as well learn a foreign, rarely-spoken language, right?

What made Tubbo do this outrageous stunt is unknown, even to him. He got up from his crouching position and stood to meet the figure, gazing at their eyes. "⋔⊬ ⋏⏃⋔⟒ ⟟⌇ ⏁⎍⏚⏚⍜. ⎍⋔.. ⎅⍜ ⊬⍜⎍ ⋏⟒⟒⎅ ⊑⟒⌰⌿?" Tubbo stuttered, straining his voice to get out the strange words.

They gazed into each other's eyes-- Tubbo could admire their glowing red and green eyes, along with their clear, beautiful skin. The tall figure was wearing a white old-fashioned looking shirt, the sleeves perfectly cuffed around their slim wrists. Purple ender particles floated daintily around them, almost as if they were alive.

"⋔⊬ ⋏⏃⋔⟒ ⟟⌇ ⍀⏃⋏⏚⍜⍜. ⟟'⋔ ⌇⍜⍀⍀⊬ ⟟⎎ ⟟ ⎅⟟⌇⏁⎍⍀⏚⟒⎅ ⊬⍜⎍." Ranboo said, polite and sweet.

Tubbo squinted through the pouring rain, frowning at what looked to be scars from the rain forming over ones that seemed ancient. Tubbo reached out and deftly swayed their hand into his. "⍙⍜⎍⌰⎅ ⊬⍜⎍ ⌰⟟☍⟒ ⏁⍜ ⌇⏁⏃⊬ ⏃⏁ ⋔⊬ ☊⍜⏁⏁⏃☌⟒ ⏁⊑⍀⍜⎍☌⊑ ⏁⊑⟒ ⌇⏁⍜⍀⋔?" Tubbo proposed, desperately wanting to assist the beautiful creature.

Just as Ranboo was about to decline his offer, a large thud came from behind them. Ranboo whipped around to look at what it was, as they were greeted with a mess of what used to be their shelter, ender particles falling around from the crash.

They looked down at Tubbo, hesitating to mumble- "⎍⋔.. ⋔⏃⊬⏚⟒ ⟊⎍⌇⏁ ⎍⋏⏁⟟⌰ ⏁⊑⟒ ⌇⏁⍜⍀⋔'⌇ ⍜⎐⟒⍀." they saw a small smile creep onto Tubbo's scarred face.

Trudging back to Tubbo's cottage, staggering amounts of sizzling came from Ranboo's arm, and exposed skin as the beating rain came through the forest roof. Tubbo looked up to find Ranboo squinting painfully through the rain, whimpering occasionally from a drop hitting their cheek.

Tubbo looked down to the dirt, then to his cottage, just barely in the distance.

Ranboo acknowledged a tap onto their arm- looking down to see Tubbo, offering his cardigan to Ranboo. A warm smile painted Tubbo's face, met with an appreciative grin from Ranboo, as they took Tubbo's offering and draped it over their arms, covering the rest of their body.

Warm fire. A pleasant embrace-- juxtaposing from the terror and fear that Ranboo experienced hours earlier. A soft, warm blanket draped over their shoulders with a cup of tea in their scarred hand.

"⟟'⋔ ⌇⍜⍀⍀⊬ ⟟ ⎅⟟⎅⋏'⏁ ⊑⏃⎐⟒ ⏃⋏⊬ ⌇⌿⏃⍀⟒ ☊⌰⍜⏁⊑⟒⌇ ⏁⊑⏃⏁ ⎎⟟⏁ ⊬⍜⎍." Tubbo said, jaunting into the room holding a fluffy towel in his hands.

Ranboo tracked Tubbo as he walked over to Ranboo, placing the towel onto their disheveled hair. "⏁⊑⏃⋏☍ ⊬⍜⎍ ⎎⍜⍀ ⏃⌰⌰ ⍜⎎ ⏁⊑⟟⌇." Ranboo denoted, looking at Tubbo as he sat down next to Ranboo.

Tubbo gave a nod, indicating he understood the appreciation. "⟟⏁'⌇ ⟊⎍⌇⏁ ⏁⊑⟒ ⍀⟟☌⊑⏁ ⏁⊑⟟⋏☌ ⏁⍜ ⎅⍜." Tubbo declared, fiddling with an ender particle that got a bit too close to the fire.

They sat in a complacent silence, safe from the storm.
