I Need You (Jai Brooks)

Chapter 1

"Katie" Daniel said knocking lightly on my door.

"Come in" I said putting a hoodie on.

"I'm going to town with the boys I was wondering if you wanted to come with us?" He asked.

"Yeh sure! What time are you leaving?" I replied.

"2 hours. Is that ok?" He said.

"Yeh that's fine thank you" I replied.

He then walked out of my room. I tied my hair in a messy bun and trekked my way downstairs.

I opened a cabinet and took out a box of cereal and then poured myself a little bowl. John always tells me I eat too much and that I'm fat so I've cut out all of the crap I used to eat and only eat breakfast and lunch. Both really small.

After I had finished my food, I quickly washed up the bowl and then had a shower. I washed and conditioned my light brown hair and washed my body. I then hopped out and ran to my room.

It was quite a nice day outside but still quite chilly, so I put on some white high waisted jeans and a black crop top.

For my hair I just straightened it making it reach to just above my waist and then for my make up I out on some concealer, winged eyeliner and some tinted baby lips.

I grabbed my maroon converse and my black hang bag and then made my way back downstairs. I walked into the living room to find James, beau, Luke and Jai. My heart skipped a little because Jai looked more than perfect today.

"Katieeeee" beau said running up to me, picking me up and spinning me around.

"Hi beau! You're happy to see me today!" I laughed.

"Well you are a fitty!" He joked.

"Oy Beau fuck off" Daniel laughed tackling him to the ground.

"We ready to go?" I asked putting my shoes on.

"Think so" James said standing up.

We all piled into beaus car. Beau and Luke were in the front, then it was me, Jai and daniel and then James was behind us but he was leaning forwards, so he was basically sitting next to us! Daniel didn't like that I was sitting next to Jai, but I liked it.

It took about 20 minutes to travel to town, when we arrived, it was pretty busy. We went straight to the food court to get some lunch. The boys all went to McDonalds but I didn't because of the fat.

"I'm going to get a salad" I said to Daniel.

"Wait stop. I know what my dad has been saying to you. Ignore him please. It's unhealthily how skinny you are. You weigh 5 and a half stones and you're 15. Please come and eat some mcdonalds, lets fatten you up a bit" he said holding my hand. Daniel is the best stepbrother I could ever ask for, I don't know what I'd do without him.

I followed him to mcdonalds and ordered a chicken burger and large fries. I wanted a small portion but Daniel made me get a large one! Once I had started eating, I didn't want to finish. I wish I hadn't believed John because I've missed out on months of junk food!

Once we all finished we went to a few shops. Unfortunately, I was with 5 boys so I didn't get to go in any girly shops.

"I might go and look in some of my shops. Where shall I meet you all?" I asked the boys.

"Why don't I come with you?" Jai asked. My heart skipped - again.

"Yeh ok thank you" I replied. I saw Daniel give him a 'look after her' look which probably scared him! We then walked off after organising a place to meet.
