I Need You (Jai Brooks)

Chapter 2

"Katie can I talk to you?" Jai asked.

"Yeh whats up?" I replied.

"Remember I was telling you there's someone I like. Well the person is you. I love you Katie" he said. His lips then pressed softly against mine.

"Katie. Katie wake up" Beau was nudging me.

"Whats happening?" I asked groggily.

"It's 1am you've been asleep for ages. We're going home now. The boys said they'll see you in school tomorrow"

"Ok see you" I said sleepily.

I then shut the door behind them. I had no idea where my mum or John were but I didn't care, I was too tired!

I stumbled upstairs and flopped onto my bed and fell straight back to sleep. I didn't even change out of my clothes.

~next morning~

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. Crap, I have school. I got up and had a quick shower. I then sat at my dressing table and just put on some concealer and mascara. I then blow dried my hair and lightly curled it.

After, I got dressed. I put on some grey acid wash jeggings, a maroon tank top and and a white knitted long cardigan.

I then made my way downstairs and grabbed an apple. I ate that whilst I got all of my books ready for school. Even though I had been to school for 2 weeks, I still hasn't really made any friends. Hopefully I would this week!

After I finished my apple and getting my books ready, I cleaned my teeth. I had 10 minutes until Daniel and I walked to school so I put my white converse on and just went in my phone until it was time to leave.

On the way to school, we went to a kiosk and bought some sweets.

"Where's mum and John?" I asked Daniel.

"Didn't they tell you? They've gone away for 5 weeks to america" he said.

"What the fuck. Why didn't they tell me? Can we go away for a week then?" I asked. Hating the fact that they didn't tell me. John probably told my mum that he had.

"How about next week?" Daniel replied.

"Ok. Bring the other boys too" I said.

After a 10 minute walk, we arrived at school. We met with the boys at the front gate and we told them about us skipping school for a week and going away. They all thought it was a great idea.

"I'll be away for my birthday!" I said excitedly.

The bell went for registration so I left the boys and went to my class.

I sat down at my table and our teacher introduced a new girl who is joining our class. Her name is Lauren and she's in most of the same classes as me.

"Hey I'm katie" I said to her as she sat down next to me.

"Hi! You're British!" She said in her Australia accent.

"Yep! I moved here a few weeks ago" I replied.

"I've always wanted to visit England!" She said.

"It was amazing there" I replied thinking of being home.

"How come you moved here?" Said asked.

"My mum got remarried and he lived here" I replied trying to control my hate for John.

"Ahh. Is it ok if I stay with you today?" she asked.

"Yeh that's fine. I haven't made any friends yet apart from my stepbrother and his friends. I meet with them at lunch and stuff. Is that ok?" I replied.
