As Smith and John continued their quest to find a way to stop the Darkness God, they encountered a group of rebels who claimed to be fighting against the darkness. The rebels offered to help Smith and John in their mission and the two agreed to join forces with them.
However, as they journeyed together, Smith and John began to notice strange behavior from some of the rebels. They were often secretive and seemed to be hiding something from them.
One day, while they were camping in the forest, Smith overheard a conversation between two of the rebels. They were talking about betraying Smith and John and handing them over to the Darkness God in exchange for power and riches.
Smith quickly alerted John, and the two of them made a plan to confront the rebels. But when they confronted them, the rebels denied everything and insisted that Smith had misunderstood what they were talking about.
But Smith was not convinced, and he decided to leave the group and continue his mission alone. John was torn between staying with the rebels and following Smith, but in the end, he decided to stick with his friend.
As they walked away, John couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and disappointment. He had thought that the rebels were their allies, but now he realized that they couldn't trust anyone in this dark world.
