I know I said I wouldn't go to the Weathervane again in a million years, but I was in the mood for coffee. Enid had also invited me to go along with her, Yoko, and Ajax. I guess her and the Medusa cursed boy were just friends now, or he's still crushing on her, because Enid seemed a lot more distanced from him when it came to physical touch.

"And then I turned around, and Weems was right behind me!" Enid chuckled like a maniac, a snort coming out of her from the amount of laughing she was indulging it. Yoko and Ajax also laughed, but not as much as the wolf. I guess you just had to be there to laugh that hard. I sipped out of the coffee I had ordered, my eyes like daggers piercing through Ajax's soul. I wouldn't let him win, obviously.

"How did you not get suspended?" Yoko chuckled, banging her hand on the table with relief. All the mugs of coffee exploded with ripples. Enid wiped a tear from her eye after laughing like a madman. In response to the vampire, she shrugged. If that girl lacked one thing, it was response.

Thing also chimed in, he talked about an event I don't recall happening. I listened in, sipping the hot coffee slowly. It probably would've been better not to bring that hand, but he always begged to be apart of anything. I tilted my head to the side, a furrow in my eyebrows. Thing acted as if he beat up Xavier with just a fist. But last time I checked, the guy was perfectly fine.

"Funny myth, Thing." Ajax rolled his eyes, taking a sip of his iced coffee. The table then went quiet after a bit more chuckles. I peered out the window, then at Enid. Of course, she was taking a weird selfie on her phone. She had taught me what selfies were a day or two ago, in which she tricked me into doing it. Selfies were a stupid concept, why waste time holding it yourself when you have a Thing?

After finishing our coffees and avoiding Tyler successfully, Enid and I decided to walk back to Nevermore. Yoko and Ajax went out to get boba since they were somehow still in the mood for drinks. And if I'm being honest, I had no idea where Thing was. I could feel the Enid's eyes on me while walking down a path. I stared back at her, raising an eyebrow.

"Sorry." The girl chuckled. Enid was honestly so admirable. She respected my boundaries the most, even if it meant peering at me for too long. She bit her lip, obviously looking as if she were choking on silence. Usually, she was glued to her phone.

"You look like you just got buried alive." I responded, peering away.

"Was that a compliment?" Enid asked instantly, she looked like she was about to rocket off into orbit. I shook my head, she was obviously onto me, but the best thing was to see her reaction when I acted as if it weren't. My face tinted a little red, feeling like a bunch of needles had caressed me.

"Liar, you're blushing!" She laughed, nudging me lightly. I shook my head once again, not minding the nudge. I did mind it a little bit, but not in a way where I would've pushed her into the nearest ditch. In response, I nudged her back, slightly harder than she did to me.

"I'm not, it's just warm out." I announced, crossing my arms. It was as if she somehow read me like a book, unlike anyone else.

"It's only sixty degrees?" Enid raised a brow, clearly trying not to laugh.

"I'm not used to it." I tilted my chin up, sighing slightly. I had no excuses left.

"You know, Wednesday," I peered at her, raising an eyebrow like she did seconds ago. "You're really awesome." The girl went silent, waiting for my response.

I bit my lip. "I know, and you're a douche." I attempted to act all nonchalant and sarcastic, but that just made me hold my breath. Enid chuckled at my comment.

"No, silly!" She facepalmed herself, sighing. "I'm trying to say I really, like really, like you." Her face lit up, in a smile and in a tint of red.

"Yeah, I like you too, but why are you blushing?" I asked, puzzled. My eyebrows creased in confusion. Enid made an ugh noise before taking a deep breath.

"Wednesday," she let a deep breath out, intertwining her hands together in an almost anxious way. I peered at her, still confused. "I think I love you!" She jumbled her words out in a fast way. I halted, peering at her. I felt a tingly sensation as I stared at her in ways I've never thought about before. I noticed how blue her eyes were, and how delicate she looked.

"Me too." I muttered, mustering up my courage more. Enid stood silent for a couple seconds, shocked and red. She fiddled with her fingers. My face burned up slightly, too.

"May I?" She asked, fiddling with her fingers nervously more than ever.

"May you what?" I deadpanned. Enid was confusing at times, with all her slang and phone talk. It was easier for her to read me than for me to read her.

"You'll find out — but may I?" She asked again, nodding her head while explaining to me.

"I guess you may." I replied in a puzzled tone. Things felt more awkward. She took a step forward. I raised a brow, watching her make tiny movements.

"Just don't freak out and trust me, alright?" The girl said calmly, I nodded along. Whatever witchcraft she was doing was enticing, the awkward feeling had somehow went away and changed into tempting. Enid took a couple more steps towards me, before being inches away from me. I looked up at her, starting to tint more red. Why was she this close to me?

She then put a hand on my cheek, her hands felt so soft, warm, and delicate. She paused for a moment, we stared into each other's eyes. Then in the next moment, she put her lips against mine. I nearly gasped, she was trying to kiss me the whole time instead of some witchcraft? I stood in shock for a few seconds. After snapping out of my trance and closing my eyes, I put my hands on her neck and tried to be as alluring back as she was.

After a few seconds, we both pulled away, my lips feeling numb. The awkward and alluring sensation filled back into the air. "So I'm guessing you like me as much as I do?" I felt the spot on my cheek where she had touched me, burning up.

"Yeah, I like you a lot, Enid." I said, looking into her eyes once more.

"Does that make us — official or something along the lines of that?" She asked, chuckling nervously as she attempted to stand still. I nodded, still shocked from the kiss. That was probably my best kiss ever. It wasn't my only kiss, since I had shared one as a child with a kid named Joel. But besides that point, it was my best kiss ever.

As we walked back to Nevermore, we talked more comfortably to each other, nudging each other along the way. I even let out a chuckle and smile or two. Hopefully Enid would try to convince me into watching a movie when we got back.
