Ignoring them, they kept walking with their heads down until her mother, the one and only Gale Weathers interrupted them, "𝙂𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙬𝙚𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙨, 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙪𝙧. 𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙠 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙜𝙝𝙤𝙨𝙩𝙛𝙖𝙘𝙚 𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙧 𝙞𝙨 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠?" She smiled at them.
Zoe just scoffed in disgust that her mom would even come up to them asking this kind of question. Knowing what happened to them before.
Sam sighed frustratedly, desperately trying to throw a punch at her, but gale had ducked before her fist could make contact to her cheek smiling at her with a microphone in hand "nice try sweetie but I've done this dance before—" Tara had cut her off when she hit her with her fist straight to her face where her sister missed a second ago.
Zoe looked at Tara with a little smile on her face, yea that's definitely gonna leave a mark she thought. "Stay away from us." Tara scolded her while dragging Zoe along with her down the steps, trying to get away from the large crowd that surrounded them.
"Are you really still mad at me?" Gale questioned the girls, but more to her daughter in particular. "You said you wouldn't write a book about what happened! And then you wrote a book about what happened!" Sam yelled out.
Gale just frowned at her, "Oh come on. Somebody was gonna write about it, it's what I do!"
"Mom, are you even hearing yourself right now! After everything that happened in Woodsboro, after everything we went through you wrote a b-book, what would dad think?" Zoe stared at her mother with a look of disbelief.
"Th-that was a low blow honey and you know it." Gale glowed at her daughter with a few tears falling. She tried to say something back to her to reassure her she was genuinely sorry but couldn't. The words she wanted to say were stuck in her throat as she cried.
"I'm sorry, I'm actually sorry—"
"Are you sure? Because it doesn't seem like it all!"
"You called me an unstable and a born killer!" Sam exclaimed cutting her off.
"That's taken out of context."
"Mom it's literally a quote, directly from the book." She says getting angry.
"You don't think what you wrote has something to do about what's happening to us?" Tara questioned squinting her eyes at her.
"Come on." Sam told them as they walked towards the taxi, in the distance gale spoke to them one last time.
"Hey, I talked to Sidney!"
Zoe stared at her with worry on her face, "Is she ok? Did anything happen?"
"No everything is ok. She sends her love and she's taking mark and the kids someplace safe. She deserves to have her happy ending."
"That's good. She deserves it."
"Well that's one thing we can all agree on." Sam said.
"Hey I wanna catch this fucker as much as you do!"
"Maybe, or maybe you're just afraid without ghost face in your life...you're gonna fade away." Tara said to her, leaving her to soak in what she said and getting into the taxi with Sam and Zoe rushing to get home.
