Five months later

"We're going to train, bye!" Izumi yelled through the house. Izuku heard the door slam after Izumi and their dad left. He sighed, put out. He never got to go with them, instead being left to his own devices. He wished the three of them could all train together, but Izumi and their dad were "busy unlocking the secrets of One For All".

"That's a bunch of bullshit".

"Izuku!" Inko's sharp voice cut through the living room. He jumped to see her standing in his doorway, a basket of laundry in her arms. She had a cross look on her face. "There will be absolutely no swearing under my roof, do you understand?"

"Y-yes mom." Izuku said, deflating in the face of his mother's wrath. She sighed.

"Izuku, honey, I'm sorry you can't go train with your father and sister, but for the love of God, it's been five months since Izumi got your father's quirk. Stop sulking and go do something productive! You won't get into UA like this." She said, concern on her voice. He thought for a second, then stood up.

"Yeah, you're right. I'm gonna go for a walk, maybe see if Shoto or Katsuki could spar with me." He squeezed past her.

"Izuku, wait! I've got laundry for you!" She called after him.

"You can put it on my bed!" He called back, almost at the front door.

"Excuse me?! I'm not the maid!" She yelled. "Come and get your clothes!"

"Sorry, I've got to go do something productive! I won't get into UA like this!" He yelled back, grinning.

"You little shit!" She cursed. He closed the door and walked down the street. He walked to the Todoroki household, and knocked on the door. Shoto's big sister, Fuyumi, opened.

"Hey, Yagi-kun. How you doing?" She asked with a smile.

He smiled back. "I'm doing great, Fuyumi-san. How are you?"

"I'm doing great! Now, what do you need?"

"Is Shoto home today? I was wondering if he wanted to train." He asked hopefully.

"Ooh, sorry. He's out shopping with mom at the moment. They left about twenty minutes ago, so I think they'll be gone for a bit. Do you wanna come inside? I've made a bit of lemonade, if you want any." Fuyumi offered. Izuku shook his head.

"No thank you. I'd rather not be a bother. Anyway, have a nice day!" He said.

"You too." She smiled. "Hey, do you want me to send Shoto over to you're house when he gets back?"

"Nah, it's fine. Tell him I said hi, though."

She chuckled. "Okay, I will. And if you ever need anything, you can always come to me for help, you know?"

He grinned and nodded. "I will. Thanks! See you around, Fuyumi-san!" He left as she closed the door.

"I wonder if Katsuki can train. Wait, actually, I think he has work on the weekends." Izuku sighed to himself. There was no one to help him train. Of course, he could always ask Katsumi or Shoka, but if Shoto had gotten dragged into a shopping trip, Shoka probably went along willingly. And Katsumi was an option, but she fought dirty, in ways even the most heinous of villains wouldn't dare. So, he was on his own.

"Well, might as well do some shopping. Mom's probably livid at the way I left, so it couldn't hurt to get some things as a sort of makeshift apology." He mused. He walked into town, waving at some friends from school along the way.

Later

After the shopping trip, Izuku walked out of the shopping district with bags on both arms.
