The wind was louder than she'd remembered, it picked up strands of her hair, flying them lazily around her shoulders as she stared at Draco. The silence was abnormally long and Angelina felt that the moment was slipping by the longer she remained silent. Her throat was dry and scratched, any chance of speaking was impossible, Angelina began slowly shaking her head in response.
"You can't possibly mean that."
"I do," Draco said confidently. "I'm in love with you, Ange."
Angelina shook her head slightly, "you can't....."
"Stop denying it," Draco snapped, he paused slightly, his eyes looking unusually big and sparkling as he stared into Angelina's eyes. "I suppose if you're going to tell me that I can't mean that, you don't return the feelings then?"
"I never said that," Angelina held up a finger, licking her dried lips nervously. "Its just....I....I have to think about—"
"Then you don't feel the same," Draco laughed slightly.
"That's not what I'm getting at!" Angelina stomped her foot, "I just need to think about how I feel."
Draco's jaw set in a scowl as he slowly nodded, "why're girls so complicated?" Angelina only rolled her eyes, Draco ran a hand through his hair, a slow breath leaving his mouth behind his teeth, " fine, whatever you need, Ange." His expression was set in a scowl.
Angelina looked at her feet, her left arm itching horribly underneath the bandages, "I'd like to be left alone."
"Alright," Draco nodded, Angelina looked up at him, watching him stand there expectantly.
"I meant now, as in leave," Angelina raised an eyebrow.
Draco looked taken aback, frowning, "like I would leave you alone up here," Angelina gave him a scathing look, taking the note to leave the tower. Draco grabbed Angelina's wrist as she passed, he looked down at his feet; making sure to avoid her gaze. "What happened to the girl who was love sick over me?"
Angelina ripped her arm away from him, "she got a tattoo on her arm. One she vowed to never get."
"Do you think I want mine?!" Draco hissed, "at least now we're in this together, at least now we have each other."
"You don't understand what's going on," Angelina scoffed, "you don't have any friends like I do. Friends who are Muggle born or Half blood."
Draco closed his eyes, running a hand through his hair, "I understand."
"No you don't!" Angelina howled, her nails digging into the cursed bandages.
Draco pulled her arms apart, scowling as he forced her a few steps backward, "I don't understand?! Do you not remember last year?! Shut your mouth, Ange, you have no idea what you're talking about. You have a very simple job." Draco released her, a dark look on his features, "be thankful."
"You could've stopped," Angelina whispered, "could've gone for help last year."
Draco rolled his eyes, "don't you have things to think about?"
Angelina let out a agitated sigh and walked off, leaving Draco alone in the dim light.

"That bandage looks uncomfortable," Angelina's eyes widened as she looked up at Marie, or at least a girl who had a striking resemblance to Marie.
"What happened to you?" Angelina breathed quietly, taking in her best friend's looks.
Marie shifted uncomfortably in her seat, her carefree smile was gone along with the excited glow that was always found in her eyes. Her usually bouncy hair, hung lifeless around her shoulders. Her cheek bones were now apparent against pale skin, in short: Marie looked in poor health. "Well....you know...." Marie muttered, she looked at Angelina and over her shoulder then back, "I wanted to tell you that I'll be keeping my distance."
"Why?" Angelina's eyebrows knitted together, confused.
Marie looked around, her collar bone protruding so profusely, when she returned Angelina's confused look her eyes had watered over. "Isn't it obvious?" Angelina shook her head slightly, Marie hung her head slightly, "if you don't know then I won't tell you."
"Is it because I'm a Slytherin?" Angelina whispered, flashes of their first and only fight coming back to her.
"No!" Marie said a bit louder than intended, "with things going on.....I think it would be smart if I stick to my own house."
Angelina glared at her, "I see."
Marie looked at her hands, rolling her head on her shoulders and frowning, "I think its stupid....but my parents....they're so worried."
"Right, I get it." Angelina snapped, getting to her feet and walking out of the Great Hall in a hurry. Her left arm burning underneath its wrappings.
I can't believe what just happened
Angelina balled her fists, stopping at the bottom of the steps, her gaze meeting Draco's as he descended the stairs.
"Everything fine?" Draco raised an eyebrow, taking in Angelina's appearance.
"Can you get these ruddy things off my arm yet?" Angelina seethed at her left arm, the bandages were practically glued to her arm.
"Have you thought about things at all?" Angelina only glared at him in response.
Draco only shook his head, "be seeing you," he waved as he passed her.
Angelina glared at his retreating back, muttering to herself as she ascended the stairs for classes.
