Draco looked at his rucksack, a thousand thoughts raced through his mind, there was no ultimate plan. There was no next step, it was just get Angelina and disappear. Where would they go, how would they survive. All the doubts and flaws of this plan began to emerge as time continued to tick down.

"What're you doing, mate?" Blaise's voice in the quiet dormitory startled Draco for a moment.

"Nothing, just cleaning," Draco muttered.

"No....you're leaving, aren't you?"

Draco turned on his heels, staring at his friend as the boy walked closer, "I'm not going anywhere, why would you think that?"

"Because Parkinson is in the common room with her rucksack and biting at her nails, while you're standing here with your own rucksack. So tell me again that you aren't leaving."

Draco gripped his wand, without hesitation he lifted it to be eye level with Baise. "Obliviate,"  Draco watched Blaise's eyes gloss over, quickly move over to the boy and pushing him out of the dormitory and locking the door before returning to his bed and quickly gathering his clothes. It was good that Draco didn't have many sentimental objects, leaving his possessions was easiest without attachment. He hurried out of the room, Blaise looking around the landing with a confused look.

"You aright mate?" Draco asked casually.

"I can't remember why I came up to the dormitory," he commented.

"You told me you were tired this morning, said a nap later would be beneficial," Draco shrugged, shouldering his rucksack and crossing his arms.

Blaise nodded slowly, "yeah....you're right....I could do with a nap."

"Later, mate," Draco patted his shoulder, heading downstairs where he met Angelina who had been anxiously waiting. "Ready to go?"

"Are we really doing this? Leaving?" Angelina looked up at Draco, her eyes big with worry.

"I personally can't take watching you under the Imperius curse another second," the words sounded foreign to Draco's ears, but it was the truth. Draco let the sentence hang there, knowing that was how he truly felt deep down. Angelina's fingers slipped into his hand, the contact made hairs on Draco's arm stand up, with a small nod and a steady gaze Angelina took a deep breath.

"Let's go then," Angelina whispered.

The walk through the halls was quiet and unnerving, the hairs on Draco's neck continued to stand on end as they hurried outside. When students did appear in the halls, Draco and Angelina hid behind suits of armor until they were gone before continuing onward. The double oak doors were within eyesight and shortly they were on the grounds, Angelina's grip tightened in Draco's as they over looked the quiet grounds. The sun had set on the other side of the castle, making the shadow of the castle spread over the grass in the dim orange light. Draco licked his lips, feeling the cracked skin for the first time in a while before the two silently ran across the grounds.

"What're we going to do about the gate?!" Angelina panted as they hurried down the slope.

"I don't think there's protections on them anymore," Draco responded, his mind working a mile a minute. If he was wrong, they were stuck, panic began to tear into him with every step.

The gate was nearing but no other ideas came to Draco's mind, it grew toward the sky fast as the two students ran toward it. As the iron gate grew to its full height, Draco slowed, catching his breath and looking around.

Where is everyone?

It was curious that they saw no professors, especially when they made it out on the grounds. Wasn't runaway teens a concern?
