The Affair [N.H]

*2 weeks later*

I wake out into the cold winters air with my best satin lace dress and shiny white high heels, the weather is quite cold so I carried a jersey with.

Hetty walks out glowing in a black short dress that Benjamin loved on her and she carried everything to put in his coffin. Ally was all bundled up I thick fleece clothing.

"Niall hurry up we are going to be late!" I shout.

"I'm coming!" He shouts back. He then walks out in a handsome suit still doing his tie.

I walk over to him "do you need help!?" Without him answering I took out his messed up tie and started it all over again.
"Can we go now Niall?" I ask angrily, I hate being late to anything.

"Alright come on." He grabs the keys and jumped into the musky smelling car.

Our whole trip to the cemetery was quiet and all we heard was the howling wind and a few rocks that flew against the door. Hetty breaks the silence half way there "do you think Benjamin is trying to tell us something?"

"What do you mean?" I twist my body as far as possible to see her behind me.

"Like telling us not to go there." She replied squeaky.

"Hetty how exactly is he supposed to..."

"The rain you dumbass the rain!! Can't you see it is covercast and raining when yesterday was sunny and clear, or are you just to pregnant and stupid to see it!" She snaps at me.

Before I said anything see continues "he is already in heaven and when it showers like this after a sunny day that means it's a blessing or a warning of some sort he is watching over me in spirit form and you are probably think 'oh what the hell is she talking about' but it is true and don't tell me otherwise Kris don't you dare!!" She then breaks down.

"Hetty I understand.."

"No you don't Kris you are just trying to make me feel better when I am not! And don't try to feel what I feel because you don't understand you have everything you ever needed sitting right next to you... well look at that Kris I have absolutely nothing except Ally!" She sobs.

I did not know what to say but luckily we were at the cemetery right before I could tell her something she would snap at again. Niall parked the car and there stood most of the my neighbourhood. Now I was going to step out and have my big baby bump on display and everyone is going to congratulate me and hang on to me when this day is for Hetty.

We got out the car and the air is damp and the grass is wet with small puddles every odd end. We walked to where the chairs and coffin were set up. I could see the coffin from the car it is covered with the British flag and you can see that, the coffin is real expensive mahogany they went all out for Benjamin and I mean who wouldn't he was a good man.

As we walk closer the seats are getting filled up and before they sat down they walk to the coffin and drop rose petals in. As we walk closer to the seats I could feel my heart beating out my chest I was terrified of what was to come. Hetty was still in her tromatized state and the whole neighborhood knows about this incident and will probably ask her questions that she doesn't want to answer.

Niall and I walk to our seats while Hetty walks to the coffin to see her husband once again. Neal and I sit in the front row and watch Hetty's every move with Ally still in her arms.

Hetty walks to Benjamin's coffin and sees his faced that she once kissed and loved. She broke down in tears. Niall runs to fetch Ally and brings her to sit with him. I get and run over to Hetty who is now down on her knees, one hand on the edge of the open part of the coffin, and she starts to scream. I look up to see Niall telling the people to go home while we stay here and grieve with Hetty.

I leave Hetty on the one side and walk to the other side my eyes focusing on Benjamin's pale face as I walk around. I stand there and look at Benjamin. He was a very handsome man with an amazing jawline and cheekbones, plump pink lips and dashing brown eyes with his soft blonde hair that would fall into place every time you saw him. He was an absolute gentleman to with a great personality. I at one point fell in love with Benjamin until Hetty, Katie, Benjamin, Donnie and I formed a group where Benjamin and I became incredibly close friends. One night he told everyone that he loved Hetty and that he wanted to start a family with her so he went down on one knee in one of our favorite pubs and asked her to marry him. Of course she said yes I mean he was the guy every girl wanted.

I then placed my fingers on his cold cheek and I run it down and back up till I get to his soft blonde hair and I stroke it. I then whisper "remember when I used to style your hair Ben? Those were the days hey... I will never forget them that's for sure." A tear runs down my face "Ben please don't leave us we miss you Ben!" And I end up on the ground crying. When we were about 19 Ben would always let me play with his hair no matter where we were he was never embarrassed by it.

Hetty gets up and takes Ally from Niall and walks to Benjamin while Niall walks to me and helps me up.

"See Ally you look just like dadda don't you!" She then bows her head and says aloud "what will happen when father's day comes around... Ally would have to tell the teacher that she doesn't remember her father while all the other kids make their cards for their dads! Looks like you will just have to give it to me then, because you can't give it to uncle Niall his going to be a dad too. And his little daughter or son will give it to him."

The rest of the military come to say their last goodbyes to Benjamin and the Sargent gives a speech before they lay him to rest.

"Benjamin Dussel Stevens was an amazing man and a true inspiration to not only us but everyone around him. Benjamin truly loved his job and one day said to me 'Sargent Black I don't do this to play childish games I want to keep my family and friends safe, but not only them sir I want to keep this nation safe from harm. And one day if I die from whatever people should not remember my death and cry over me. They need to remember the good times we have had and that I died for the people of my country and that's all I ever wanted.' Benjamin might of been a serious man but I am damn sure... He made a hell of a lot of jokes. I send my love out to you and your friends and family Mrs Stevens."

They sing the national anthem and down went Benjamin with all of our memories that he will be keeping forever. It was a sad moment we were all in tears we all lost someone close to our hearts in a different way.

We walk towards the car when we hear "Mrs Stevens, Mrs Stevens!!"

We turn back and the man runs towards He tty "When Benjamin's body came and we were taking his clothes off we found this I his pocket." He hands Hetty a envelope with the writing To: My everything Hetty . The envelope had a few blood splatters on it but she didn't mind since it was his blood.

"Thank you." She hugs him tight. "Sorry who's blood is this just asking."

"It's Benjamin's." He walks away.

She looks at it and puts it in her bag and jumps in the car and straps Ally in.

"Kris?" Hetty says from the back.

"Yea?" I reply

"Do you remember the time Benjamin took us to the countryside with Donnie, and we went to this one lake and sat there eating in the sunlight. Then the umbrella flew away and Ben tried to get it but then he fell into the lake and then since he fell in we all decided to jump in completely naked."

"I remember that ...oh the joys of being 19 hey." I laugh along with Hetty and Niall

"And the time we got drunk and Bens place and we decided that I should have sex with Donnie and you should have sex with Ben..."

"Oh my God did you do that Kris?" Niall comments.

"Yea... best night ever." And we all end up laughing.

The rest of the ride home we talked about our life with Ben and the made up adventure series called "Adventures of four dumbass youngsters" Katie didn't really hang out with us since she was too busy finding a job. All those memories we should keep alive and remember all of them.
