It's been at least 10 hours since Kylie dropped off Thomas, Brenda crashed in the guest room, and Adonis passed me the note along with my son. I read it over again as I drank my hot tea this morning.
Clark fucking Gonzales,
I just want to give a big fuck you to your face right now but I won't because I'm too disappointed . I'm dropping Thomas off with you for a while so I can get my own shit together. Fuck you and don't bother calling me or any of my own family. Fix your responsibilities.
I crumbled the paper and threw it on the other side of my dining room table as I scrolled on my Twitter. Pictures of Kylie at the airport and jokes about me made me upset. She's a shit mother who I once loved and now I don't. Sometimes I wish I never fell in love but hey, I learned my lesson. Sad that it had to be after the fact.
I heard small feet on the wooden floors and lifted my head from my phone, looking at Thomas and his wild curly hair.
"Daddy." he said. I put on a smile to let him know I wasn't upset on the inside and spoke.
"Hey Thomas, you hungry yet?" I asked.
"Yeah. But who is that lady sleeping upstairs. I tapped her but she didn't really move."
"Hold on. Turn on some cartoons and I'll come make you breakfast." I said. He went in the living room and I got up, going to the guest bedroom. I pushed open the cracked door and walked in. Her hair was tangled and a bit of drool was on the satin pillows.
I shook her as I moved the hair out of her face. "Wake up babe-" I caught my words. "Wake up."
She shuffled and opened her eyes wide, falling off the edge of the bed. I backed up a bit, not sure if I should help her or touch her.
"What time is it? Why am I in your bed." she asked. I couldn't help but stare at her backside since she fell on her chest. She got up, making my friend a little happy, and sat back on the bed.
"It's almost 8 and you got a little too tipsy." I smiled. "When was the last time you had a drink?"
"Like when I graduated. Omar and I-" she stopped. She grabbed her phone on the nightstand and stared at it.
"You need some Advil or water to take away the hangover?" I asked. I was a bit curious as to why she was reacting that way.
"Yeah please."
I got up and went to my bedroom to grab the pills and a bottle of water, coming back to her. She was in the restroom and I pressed the home button on her phone.
Mom told me that privacy was important but she wouldn't know about it.
I'm sorry. Think about the wedding.. -Omar <3
I almost forgot about her being engaged. But what did the bastard do. The sink water ran and I backed away from the phone. She came out with her hair in a big ponytail and fresher face. I gave her the Advil and water as I uncomfortably watched her take it.
"What did you come over for last night?" I asked, clearing my throat.
"I-"
"DADDY!" I heard. She looked towards the door then at me.
"You have a-"
"Well, I'm sure you remember Kylie."
"How could I forget." she mumbled.
"She umm, she dropped her child off yesterday night and left a note." I said.
"But he calls you dad, Dalton's his father-"
