Chapter 6

A few days had passed since I went with Eve to meet those guys. I was still getting used to this new lifestyle, and especially this newfound stability, I was so used to be always on the lookout, to have to move everyday or never sleep with my eyes closed, that now, having a place to stay, having not to worry about whether I would've eaten that day or not, but especially having friends and this amazing girl called Akali, I didn't even think a person could be this relaxed. I spent my days cuddling with her, chatting with the girls, hanging out with Twitch, but also training with Khazix, something I never did before. Even tho I easily beat those dorks at the Circle, I still felt like I could use some practice. I managed to assemble a little personal training room in one of the empty rooms in the garage, and I would spend hours inside, just perfecting my skills. It was during one of these training sessions that the voice spoke to me again.

???: "So now you think you can fight us?"

Y/N: "You again, what do you want?"

The first time it spoke to me I was terrified, now it was just annoying

???: "Nothing, everything is going according to my plan already"

Y/N: "What plan? And who the hell are you?"

???: "I'm his owner, and he will come back to me"

Y/N: "He won't listen to you, fucking bitch, get away from me!"

Eve: "Did you take lsd or what?"

Oh my god Evelynn was there, stupid invisibility.

Y/N: "How long have you been spying me?"

Eve: "You're dodging the question"

Y/N: "You too?"

Eve: "Oh come on, finally one pretty boy decides to do some gym and I can't even watch? I bet you spy on Akali while she's showering all the times, sweetheart"

I blushed a little, how did she know?

Y/N: "What? I...Whatever, what is it?"

Eve: "Just checking out on you, saw you're practicing lately"

Y/N: "Yeah I don't wanna hold the group back once we have to actually fight"

Eve: "You know you're already the strongest in our little team right? I mean, fuck, they have been talking about your little performance ever since"

Y/N: "I wasn't even trying"

Eve: "Uh such a humble guy, but well you already got some fans"

Y/N: "Uh?"

Eve: "Apparently Vi has been crushing on you, Cait said she likes you already and even Fate talked good about you, which he never does about anyone"

Y/N: "Do they just trust me like that?"

Eve: "Yeah why wouldn't they? After all you're on our side so"

I felt a little shiver and my face twitched a little

Y/N: "Y-yeah yeah of course"

Eve: "Mhmm, anyway, go shower and get dressed, today is your first mission on the field"

Y/N: "Wait what?"

And just like that she left, leaving me with more doubt than before. Was I ready? Well, whatever, fuck it, I'll just do what she said. And so I did, like a good boy, I showered and got dressed, and as I left the main hall there she was waiting on me.

Eve: "Took you long enough"

Y/N: "I don't have super powers"

Eve: "Oh yeah, you're right, well let's go uh"
