Loki woke to the warm familiar light of sunlight shining down on his bed. He blinked looking around at his room. Books neatly organized and dusted, small sketches hung on the wall.
He felt different. What was different? Well the bed was bigger. Their was something missing. What could it be?
He was about to get up when the door opened, and Stephen walked in carrying a warm sweet smelling breakfast.
"Good morning." Stephen spoke with that small smile of his. "You sure took your time waking up today. It's almost 10."

"It's not that late." Loki mutters tucking hair behind his ear.

"While I'd agree. It's still not usual for you." Stephen says setting the breakfast on the table and sitting on the edge of the bed. Loki felt more drawn to him then what felt normal. He's drawn out of his thoughts when he felt Stephen grab his hand. "Are you doing okay?"
Loki looked into Stephen's perfect eyes, all his worries fading away.

"I think so. I just.. had a weird dream is all." He answers.

"Well you did have quite a fall last night." Stephen says.

"I did?"

"Worse then I thought if you don't remember." Stephen says almost amused. "It was date night, we were cleaning up after dinner and you fell hitting your head on the kitchen counter."

"Date night?" Loki questions. His chest growing warm with a feeling he didn't recognize. "Yes.. yes I think I remember."

"Mhm. I Don't think there's any permanent damage." Stephen says examining Loki's head. "I think you're going to be just fine." He says with a smile.

Loki couldn't help but chuckle. "Why thank you Doctor." He joked. Slowly he sat up more properly as he yawned.

Stephen laughed. "Anytime." He mutters his hand resting on Loki's leg. Loki's heart raced his eyes meeting Stephen's once again. All he could think was one thing. Too his surprise Stephen appeared to be thinking the same thing, leaning into a kiss.

Instead of a kiss everything went black. For a moment he was suspended in an endless void. No light, no warmth no anything. He screams shaking in fear.

"Loki? Loki are you okay?"

Loki was sitting in his bed once again but this time it was late at night. What was happening?

He felt himself being pulled into a warm embrace. He could barely see, but he could feel a man's chest, he could smell the familiar scent of old books, he could hear a soft heart beat followed by a family voice.

"It's alright Loki. I'm here.  You're okay." He heard Stephen's voice. He didn't know why but he couldn't stop the tears that began to fall. "Shh. It's okay my dear it's okay. Let it all out. No one can hurt you. You're safe."
