No, no. You couldn't be late on your first day working for the president. God! You screamed in your head in frustration. No time for two coffees, but just one and that's for President Evans. While you were patiently waiting, you kept glancing at your watch back in and fourth.

You had to be there by 9:00. It's now 8:45. You finally snapped out of your thoughts.

"Y/N."

The barista called your name. Walking fast you grabbed the coffee, and made it to the top floor.

Come on. Come on. You thought so hard you barely heard the ding. You quickly made it to his office, secret service men let you in, without doing a heavy background check on you. Even though you had a squeaky clean record.

You glanced at your watch one more time, just in time it's 8:55 when you walked in. He was on the phone with Congress so you put his cup of coffee on his desk. He gave you a that smile he gave you when his wife wasn't looking.

You were going through the list of things that he would be doing, like speaking at the school, meetings after meetings, then going to the soup kitchen, and the rest of the day doing paperwork. Of course you'll help him.

When you looked at him you smiled, and he smiled back through out the phone call. Your eyes shifted him up and down. You stopped when you didn't see his wedding band on. Your thoughts started to spin, but you decided to push them away. Cause it certainly wasn't your business to interfere with his personal life.

"Alright, yeah. I'll send Jensen, to go over there."

He said while ending the phone call, as he gave you a subtle smirk. That made your stomach flip. But you can't show that side during work, since your his assistant.

"Was that Congress, Mr. President?"

You asked him quietly as you handed him his coffee. He sipped on it, and nodded.

"Yes, they're having technical difficulties, so I sent Jensen over there. Now, Ms. Y/L/N. What's on the agenda today for me, besides that phone call."

The president asked you as he gave you a smirk, that made you shift into your seat. He may be the president but god. His hands make you want him to choke you. Stop it, Y/N. That's so unprofessional. You cleared your throat.

"Well, you have to read the kindergarteners a story before they settle for nap time, at 1:00 this afternoon. Then you have meetings till to help out the soup kitchen at 5:00 pm. Then you just have to do paperwork for Congress."

You said telling him the things he had to do, while he just smirked at you being amazed by it.

"That's all, sweetheart?"

He asked, as you were trying to make your knees not jelly as much. You were glad you put your vote on him.

"Yes, Mr. President."

You replied as he chuckled. You were confused on why he was laughing.

"Is there a problem sir?"

You said, as he shook his head.

"No, but you can call me Chris, when we are alone. Does that sound alright, sweetheart?"

He asked giving you a smirk. As you gulped and shifted.

"Do you think, that's rather appropriate Mr. Pres-"

You stopped when he gave you a glare then you continued.

"Chris. Do you think that's appropriate, since I am your assistant after all."

You said, as he nodded.

"I don't see a problem with it sweetheart, do you think it's a problem?"

He beckoned as he stood up, as you shook your head no then you proceeded to get up as well.

"Good. Now come along, sweetheart. We don't want the children to be waiting now. Now do we?"

He said with a smirk as you gulped and shook your head.

"No sir."

You said in a low whisper, as he grabbed your hand leading you to the car, that secret service man provided for him, and of course you had to go with him.

                           ...

"Now, children please make welcome for President, Evans."

Ms. Smith said the kids. She then handed Chris, The Cat and The Hat. A classic, that you grew fond of.

Chris gave you a smirk before he got on with the story, oh god. You can't help but feel drawn to him. Stop it, Y/N . He's married. It's wrong...
                          ...

After a long day with, President Evans. You walked in his office first then he proceeded to come in. He dismissed, the secret service men, for in here. They disagreed, Chris sighed as he allowed one of them to come in.

"Look, Ms. Y/L/N. I wanted to let you know, that I'm going through a divorce, that's why, I was asking you to call me Chris."

Wow, you thought. What about his children, you looked at the secret service men for conformation. All he did was nod. You looked at Chris.

"Uhm, I know this isn't my place to interfere. But what about your children, Mr. President?"

You said as he nodded.

"Of course, Sarah and I thought it would be best to see them during the weekend, if I'm not busy in the office."

You nodded at his words, as you place your hand onto his for comfort.

"I'm sorry, for that."

You told him.

"It's alright. I filled for the divorce..because I'm in love with someone else.."

Your heart stopped beating, as you felt his hands squeeze your small ones. He sighed and looked into your eyes.

"And that someone is you..Y/N. Ever since my second year as President of the United States, and the Presidential ball that took place last December. You in that blue dress, that hugged your curves. You were beautiful and you still are."

Chris said as you felt everything spin.

He continued speaking.

"I understand, if you don't feel the same."

Chris said with a sigh. You gave him a small smile.

"Look, Chris. I feel the same, but I'm willing to take those risks, but I want us to take it slow, so the press won't freak."

You admitted, as he nodded.

"I'd like that to take things slow, but how about tomorrow night, you and me in the White house having a home cooked meal of your choice?"

He offered.

You gave him a small smile.

"I'd love that, actually."

You said as you were happy that Chris agreed to take things slow. Since he is the president of the United States.

Hopefully things will turn out alright, between you and him. But you'll find out soon with President Evans.
