Chapter 22

I didn't know what happen. One minute I was asleep and I was fine. Now I was on top of Athena, and that's all I saw. That I was on top of her like I was on top of my dad. Though when I was on top of my dad. "Don't think about it, Bill," Erick said over mindlink. "You didn't hurt your father, you certainly didn't Athena. You just jumped on her." "But she could have gotten hurt, Erick," I responded. "I could have hurt her." "But you didn't, Bill" Erick said as I finally felt Athena's hand rubbing my cheek. 

I slowly snapped out it and back into reality. I moved my head as her hand slowly moved across my cheek. It feels so smooth. At first I didn't hear anything, but then I started hear Athena's voice. She sounded so worried. All I was able to get out of her was "Bill, it's okay, it was only a dream, no one's hurting Erick." "Bill, listen to her," Erick said over mindlink. "I'm fine. You were only dreaming. This was just a response to that dream." 

"Athena," I whispered as I closed my eyes and breath in a sigh of relief. "Oh, Athena, I'm so sorry. I didn't- didn't mean any of this." "I know, Bill," She said as I got off of her and slowly grabbed her from the floor. "Hey, easy." I gently placed on the bed and slide in next to her. I put the sheets over us and laid down next to her. "You alright?" I asked as I rubbed her cheek like she did to me. "Yeah," she said, grabbing my hand. 

She slowly moved my hand towards her mouth and kissed it. Then she'd moved in to kiss me on the lips couple of times. "Get some sleep, because tomorrow night, I'm going to introduce you to your new pack, your new family." I just smiled and said. "Can't wait." 

Athena

Tomorrow, came and turned into nightfall quickly. The night was skyfree so we were able to see the stars and that big beautiful full moon. A perfect night for a  initiation ritual. Bill says he'd never seen a ritual, let alone participated in one. I looked at him and smiled then moved to the corner of our new walked in-closet looking amongst the men clothes, clothes that I hadn't seen in years. I didn't stop until I've noticed his uniform. William's uniform that washed and clean, months after he'd died. 

I smelled it. No new sent of William, perfect, considering that this uniform is what Bill's wearing to the ritual. I walked out of the closet back into our where he was waiting for me with a towel wrapped around his body and one on his head. He was wet, considering he just came out of the shower. 

But looking at him now, it's kind of turning me on. "See something you like, Athena?" he asked acting like some popular high school kid. "Maybe," I said with a smirk on my face. He chuckled. "Anyway, I got some clothes for you," I said, handing him William's uniform to him. He grabbed them gently from my hands. Slowly puts them on. After he was fully dressed, he was far more handsome.

"Well, how do I look?" I asked as she would stare at me like I was some sort of ghost. "Athena?" She didn't answer at first. In fact, she was kind of startled as she continues to stare at me. "Athena, you alright?" I asked. She was starting to scare me. "Athena!"  Then she just hugged me and started crying. "Hey, what are you doing?" I asked I was confused by the whole thing. "Hey, Athena, come on talk to me. What's wrong?" "I'm sorry, Will," she said, as I grew even more confused. "Athena, I'm not Will," I corrected her as she looked up at me. "Hey, there she is. There's Athena." I smiled as she tries to wipe the tears from her eyes. "Bill, what just happen?" she asked as she realized that she was hugging me. "You tell me, Athena," I said playing with a piece of her hair. "You saw me like I was someone else and hugged me like you haven't seen that person in years. You even called me by that person's name." "I did?" She asked sounding so  confused. I think she was just as confused as I am right now. 

"What name did I called you exactly?" she asked me. At first, I hesitated because I was worry that it might make things worse. But looking at her, she appeared to be ready to do anything to get the answer. "You called me Will," I said softly. "Oh my Goddess," she said as she clapped her right hand to her mouth. 

"Athena, hey, " I said moving her hand away from her mouth and lend close to hug her. "Come on, tell me, what's going on? Is it the clothes? Because if it is we can find something else for me to wear." "No, it's okay, I want you to have these clothes," she said. 

"Then, tell me what's going on?" I asked as we sat at the edge of our bed. "Talk to me." 

"Will, is short for William, and he was my fiance, Bill," Athena explained. "But he died long time ago."

"I'm sorry," I said grabbing her hand. "How did he died?" 

"Seth killed him with the same serum that he was using on you," she said as my eyes widen. 

"Is that why you were there that day? To save me from him?"  I asked as she nodded. "Why?" 

"Because you and I are destined to be together," She said as I smiled at her. "And seeing what Seth was doing with you and Erick. It was a repeat of what happened to William and his wolf. And I just couldn't standby and let it happen like I did with William. That's also why Damion and Brian got involved too."  

"Remind me to thank them as soon as I see them," I said. We chuckled.  

Athena

"Well, we gotta get going or we'll be late," I said as I was about to get up, but stopped me by gently grabbing me by the shoulder with his right hand. I turned to him and heard him say, "Hey, you can always come to me about anything, even if it is about your ex." "You mean that?" I asked him. 

"Yeah, We're mates now, Athena," Bill said hugging me. "That means we there for each other. " 

I smiled, hugged him, and said, "Thank you, Bill, you have no idea how much this means to me." 

Bill gave me a friendly chuckle and said. "You're welcome, mate." That word "mate," made me smiled. Then after a minute I cleared my throat and said. "Okay, now we are really must get going or we'll be late."
