*The cab ride home from Starbucks*

"Did you see the size of his arms?" Dan asks Phil, his eyes bugged. "They were the size of my fucking head."
"You're over exaggerating, Dan." Phil says, sighing. "He works out, so what? And his arms weren't that big."
"And you invited him over for dinner!" Dan exclaims. Obviously he's not too happy about that. He's happy that Zosia is coming over, but not about Tay coming over.
"Actually, I invited Zosia AND her boyfriend over for dinner." Phil corrects. "Not just Tay."
Dan glares at Phil and then crosses his arms, fuming. "Still, his arms are the size of my head. And I don't like him."
"Of course you don't, he's dating the woman you like." Phil replies.
"Don't you fucking dare say that!" Dan says loudly, causing the cabbie to glance back at them with a frown. "I said I liked her, not that I wanted to date her."
"Sure. And that's totally why she was all you could talk about after you got home from that concert. You woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me about the way she hugged you and the way her perfume smelled and the way she danced and the way she sung and blah bleh blah blah. You are infatuated with her, Dan, admit it."
Phil smirks as Dan's cheeks turn red and he begins to mumble.
"She's nice," Dan says. "And I don't like her boyfriend because he seems like an asshole. Which he probably is."
He interrupts Phil's protestations by saying, "Don't you dare defend him, Phil, or so help me you will not eat another bite of my cereal."
Phil's protesting ends with a squeak and he looks meekly at Dan. "You wouldn't." He whispers. Not the beloved cereal he so loves to steal in the mornings while Dan is still in bed. No, it couldn't be could it?
"Oh yes I would," Dan says, nodding his head and beginning to smirk. Oh the horror! No more beloved cereal if Phil defends Tay.
"I'll just buy my own," Phil says.
"I'll go to the shops and buy every single box so you can't." Dan replies.
Phil tries to glare at Dan but it just comes off more as a constipated frown.
They're quiet for a few minutes and then Dan mutters, "I wouldn't really buy all the cereal. I don't have room for it anyways."
Phil doesn't respond and then Dan says a little louder, "And you can still have my cereal. But I still don't like Tay."
"Just learn to like him, Dan." Phil says. "He might not be that bad."
Dan scoffs. "That's highly doubtful."
This time Phil succeeds in giving Dan a glare.
"Sorry," Dan mumbles and begins biting his lip.
"I mean, it's not exactly like we can invite Zosia over and not her boyfriend too." Phil says.
"Why not?"
"Because that's rude, Dan!"
Dan pouts. "We can invite her over when he goes to work."
"No, Dan. Just no. Besides she has a job too."
Phil doesn't understand why Dan is being so difficult. He gets that Dan had, or has, a crush on Zosia but it's not like he hasn't had a crush on someone who's had a significant other before.
"Maybe they'll break up soon." Dan says a few minutes later as they climb the stairs to the apartment.
"Dan!" Phil says and smacks his arm.
