CHAPTER 6 : behind the scene

"leona! "
"how many times have I told you not to disturb me when I am working "

"but dad..... I just wanted to tell you that.. ...

"slam!!.... "

Leona's father slammed his hand on the table

"what ever it is tell me later.
can't you see I'm busy right now"

"....dad.., just listen to me this time it's important."

"if it's that important then go tell your mother.
I have a really urgent meeting right now, I have to go now. tell me later. "

after saying that Leona's dad left his study.

'but dad.....I just wanted tell you that I got accepted into a medical college... '
'you just never listen to me and mom is never home. '
leona mumbled to herself with a very sad expression on her face.

She wanted to shout out these words to her parents, but she couldn't.

She feared that if she said something wrong, she will be left alone.

leona was the only child to her parents. an omega daughter.
She inherited her beautiful looks from her alpha father and omega mother. their wealth was overwhelming. they looked like a perfect family.

but as Leona's beautiful appearance ,her relationship with her parents wasn't that beautiful.

her parents had an arranged marriage.
they were married because of their family's business reasons.

and giving birth to an family heir was also a formality for them.

after giving birth to leona, his parents were disappointed, about she being an omega.

her father wanted an alpha son to take over his hospital business and her mother wasn't able to give birth anymore.

Leona's parents didn't love each other. they only did their duties which were important for their business.

One of these duties was to take care of leona. they never gave that much attention to leona. But they provided all the resources.
She was mostly raised by her nanny.

but leona craved her parents affection like every child wants their parent's love.

She was so lonely after her nanny left her due to her unfortunate death.

to get her parents attention, she did her best in studies and every activity but even after all that ,they just neglected her.

that's how she grew up without her parents love and attention.

so after entering the collage, she wanted all the attention to herself and she got that attention due to her family status and her beauty.

She even sometimes behaved like a b**ch to those who were she thought as her competitors like Louis. Leona had a broken heart. She cried by herself in corner of her room. She pitied herself for behaving like that

deep down in her heart she knew that all this attention was a only temporary thing.

She new that most of the people approached her with alternative motives.
She wanted something genuine. like a true friendship.

one day leona noticed a beautiful girl in her class.
she seemed like a quite girl.

leona was curious.

She asked her other classmate pointing her index finger toward that girl's direction

"hey , is that a new girl in our class? "

"who? ...oh, you mean lily? "

"so her name is lily...."

"but she's not a new girl, she's been here from the starting of this semester. it's been six months now"

"wha..t..!?....six months?
but how come I never noticed her? "

"you really didn't knew? "

".... no"

"I have talked to her sometimes, she seemed like a nice and friendly person"

after ending the conversation leona was looking at lily and thinking that how come she is the only one who didn't knew about her.

after some thought she decided to forget about it.

on the next day her eyes coincidentally fell on that girl again , lily was helping some people with their work.

out of curiosity she observed lily for sometime.

she really looked like a nice person.

Leona observed her some more time and found one more peculiar thing about her. that most of the time she was only doing her own work and didn't involve herself in other people's businesses too much. but in every action she looked genuine.

Leona liked that thing about lily.
She wanted to be friends with lily.
She had a unknown feeling that may be lily can become her genuine friend.

one time she tried to approach lily but to her surprise, lily immediately left her place before leona could even come near her.

She thought maybe lily had some urgent work so she decided to come again later.

Leona was frustrated. because it had been many times now that she tried to approach lily but every single time something came up and she was gone.

Lily was not even making an eye contact with her. it conformed her doubt that Lily was avoiding her.

'but why is she avoiding me? '
'I really want to ask her. '
Leona thought to herself.

so one day she decided to meet Lily by making an excuse.

She told one of her classmate to ask lily that 'she(Leona) was asking for her', after the lecture.

Leona didn't attend the lecture . She was waiting outside the classroom hall for lily to come out of the class after the lecture ended.

as the bell rang, the classroom door busted open and she saw lily hurriedly walking through the hallway.

She followed her from behind to catchup with her. Lily was really fast like running away.

She lost her in the crowd .but after speeding up her waking tempo she caught up and saw that Lily was on the ground collecting things.

Leona was walking towards lily and then she stood in front of her.

She wanted to talk to her all this time ,but at this moment she was not sure what to say so she blurred out some random words which came to her mouth nervously. She regretted it.

then she immediately sat down with Lily to help her. She was looking at Lily but Lily's face was looking down.

Lily suddenly looked up and they made eye contact.

Leona was surprised at her action because lily never made eye contact with her. as the ground was cold Leona told her to stand up.

when lily asked Leona that why she wanted to meet her, she immediately told lily an excuse about the professor.

but then again Leona just blurred out the truth. that she wanted to be friends with her.

Leona was shy, because it was her first time asking someone to be friends with her and she was also angry at herself that she ruined her first impressive by speaking before thinking straight.
