The Hero's Fall

Joint Training pt.1

Friday morning dawned bright as we made our way to the gym for the joint training that principal Nezu set up. The doors opened to reveal class 1-B already in the gym. The teachers were standing on the stage by the far wall looking over the students. Everyone was talking quietly with each other trying to figure out what we would be doing. I looked over to the teachers to see if they would give anything away. When my eyes met Mr. Aizawa's he just gave me a small nod. Immediately I knew what he meant and I whispered it over to Katsuki who passed it down to the rest of the class in an impromptu game of telephone. 

We had been standing in our spots for five minutes when principal Nezu popped out of Mr. Aizawa's scarf and walked over to the podium. He started explaining how we would go bout the training session. He told us that we would be separated into groups of ten with five students from each class. Then the group of ten would have to go against two of the teachers. They would randomly select two team leaders from both classes as well as their teams. The chosen teams would need to work together under the leader to take down the teachers who would be playing villains. Just then Midnight placed two bowls filled with pieces of paper containing the names of students. He took five pieces from each bowl and unrolled each one before calling out the names. 

"When I call your names please come stand beside me on the stage. These ten students will be the first group under their leader," he picked up one of the pieces of paper, "Miko Otori. Her teammates will be Katsuki Bakugou, Tsuyu Asui, Tokoyami Fumikage, and Momo Yaoyorozu from class 1-A. Her teammates from class 1-B will be Neito Monoma, Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu, Jurota Shishida, Pony Tsunotori, and Yosetsu Awase." As he called out the names we went up to the stage and stood beside him. He turned to look at the group standing beside him and asked, "Could Miss Otori please step forward?" I did and he continued. 

"Now to choose your opponents I will blindfold you and have you stand in the middle of the circle of teachers. Then you will spin around and point at a teacher at random. This is to make sure that we do not have any hand in choosing your opponent for you, it will be completely random. Once a teacher is chosen they will go stand with your team and you can repeat the choosing once more. This will also go for the other teams. Do you understand everything?" 

I think it all over and nod my head. Nezu then holds up a blindfold for me to use and I quickly put it on. After making sure I wont be able to see through the material he leads me a few feet away from my team and I hear the teachers make a circle around me. I wait until the noise has stopped before Nezu tell me that I can choose. I steady myself and start spinning. I count once, twice, three spins before stopping and pointing in a random direction. The teachers shuffle around to make up for the empty space left behind by the teacher I had chosen. Once they stop moving I spin again. Once, twice, three times then stop and point. 

I hear them move around again and I take off my blindfold. I look over to see which teachers I would have to fight and almost giggle at my luck. I had chosen the two teachers that I knew I could trust. They also happened to be my favorite teachers. I collected my team and opponents and stood against the wall as Nezu started calling the next team. He chooses one of the papers he had taken out of the bowls and announced the team leader. 

"Izuku Midoriya and his team. From 1-A we have Shoto Todoroki, Mina Ashido, Hitoshi Shinso, and Toru Hagakure. And from 1-B Togaru Komakiri, Manga Fukidashi, Ibara Shiozaki, and Shihai Kuroiro." Izuku walked up to Nezu, grabbed the blindfold and did the same thing I did. He however chose his most hated hero as well as Midnight. We were still impartial to her. She was a good hero but we didn't know if we could trust her or not. He and his team came to stand beside mine and the process started again. 

"Itsuka Kendo will lead her teammates Kosei Tsubaraba, Reiko Yanagi, Setsuna Tokage, and Nirengeki Shoda from class 1-B. As well as Hanta Sero, Ochako Uraraka, Mashiro Ojiro, Mezo Shoji, and Eijiro Kirishima from 1-A." I watched with interest as Kendo went up and chose her teacher opponents. She spun around and chose Snipe and Cementoss. She lead her team to the wall and the last team was called. "The last team will be lead by Sen Kaibara and his team contains these people. Yui Kodai, Kojiro Bondo, Kinoko Komori, Jusuo Honenuki, Denki Kaminari, Kyoka Jirou, Tenya Iida, Koji Koda, and Rikido Sato." This time the team leader chose the teachers Powerloader and Ectoplasm as his opponents.
