Chapter 2

It's the next day, and I am currently suspended from work for two weeks.

I haven't spoken to my boss at all since last night, as the frustration from what I heard left me impulsive.

"Who would do such a thing though? I've done nothing wrong!" I repeat to myself, constantly thinking of someone who'd hate me enough to potentially complain about me.

Moments pass by until I find a potential culprit for my suspension.

A woman, by the name of Nicole who had been working with me for the past 2 ½ years.

She's always hated me, yet to this day I have no idea why.

Maybe it's because Sebastian always preferred me over her, since it was no secret that Nicole has a huge crush on him.

But why would she envy me over that? She does know that I have a boyfriend, Emilio, and so does Sebastian.

My current boyfriend, Emilio, means the world to me. Ever since my recent breakup with shitty ex, Marlo, 3 months ago, I decided that I deserved better. So I came across a dating app called 'Minder', where one can find their true love in a click of a button.

After a few minutes of swiping, I came across Emilio's profile, thought he was cute, and we starting talking.

From there, we agreed that we wanted to be more than friends and the rest is history. To this day, Emilio treats me like a queen. I love him dearly and wouldn't change him for the world.

Ecstatic about my new relationship with Emilio, I ended up telling all my coworkers about him, and eventually Sebastian found out about him too!

However, I noticed that Sebastian acted suspiciously distant towards me; ever since I introduced Emilio to him.

Yet, strangely enough, it seems as if he feels a hint of jealousy about my new relationship with Emilio. I have no idea why...he has a girlfriend, and he's my boss.

I don't know why I think this but...perhaps I'm slightly upset that Sebastian no longer gives his attention to me.

I'm starting to feel like he prefers Nicole over me at this point.

Am I jealous?

No. I can't be...I have Emilio and I must remain loyal to him. It's the main priority of a healthy relationship.

Moments pass by and it soon reaches midnight.

*Ding* A notification appears on my phone. Who could it be at this hour?

It's Sebastian. What could he want from me? Is he going to apologise for making a mistake on my suspension?

Hoping that my assumptions are correct, I let out a sigh and open the message.

"You have some online work to complete, once finished, hand them over to me via this document."

"WHAT?!" I shriek. "Not even an hello? or a reasoning for my suspension?!"

Pissed off, I respond with a "K"

He leaves me on read.

"Fuck, he really is an asshole." I think to myself...
