Chapter 6

It's the very next day and I'm off work.

A sense of relief emits my shoulders as I finally had the courage to quit that damn job.

However, a part of me slightly misses Sebastian, even though he is an asshole...

To be honest, I just really missed the bond we had together; he was kind, loving, sweet - unfortunately, it all changed ever since Nicole joined the workplace.

Perhaps that was the reason I left - the unbearable feeling of being left out in every possible situation. I just couldn't take it anymore...

Besides that however, I made sure that I blocked Sebastian on all platforms.

There's no way I'm allowing him to keep in contact with me.

Coincidentally, a notification pops up on my phone - Did Sebastian really just make a new account to message me?

I sighed and read the message.

Relievedly...it's just my boyfriend, Emilio.

"Since you're off work today love, I'd like to take you out on a date to this fancy restaurant tonight - They even have a rooftop so we can gaze at the stars together!"

I'm left in awe - Isn't he just so thoughtful? I love how he treats me - way better than Sebastian does...

"You're so sweet, Emilio. I'd love that!" I reply, completely flushed with joy at his thoughtful suggestion.

"Great. I'll see you tonight baby. How does 8PM sound to you?"

"It's perfect. I can't wait to see you. Make sure to wear your navy blue suit I bought you for your birthday. You'll look so handsome in it."

"I was actually planning to wear it tonight. I'm sure you're going to look stunning in your dress baby."

Little did he know that I had a matching dress to pair with his outfit, so that everyone knows we are a power couple.

Soon, the clock strikes 7. Only an hour left til our date.

I put my navy blue dress on, perfectly aligning my beautiful curves. Did my hair and makeup, then finally added my accessories.

"I think I'm ready, and I look sexy. I can't wait to see Emilio's reaction!"

Though, in the back of my mind, all I could think about was Sebastian's reaction.

What is wrong with me?

Later, we both finally made our way to the fancy restaurant Emilio was talking about - It sure is fancy; apsolutely breathtaking.

We enter and search for the perfect seats. One which highlights the gorgeous night sky.

As we approach the rooftops, I notice someone from the corner of my eye - someone rather familiar. Who could it possibly be?

Sebastian. What are the fucking odds, huh?

"He really came here too?" I mumbled, without hesitation.

"Who's he, darling?"

Shit.

"Oh uhh, I just noticed my ex-boss over there haha! I was wondering what he was doing here tonight." I reply, awkwardly.

"Don't worry about him, love. I'm sure he's on a date with his girlfriend...or whoever that woman is that's right beside him."

My brows furrowed. Who is this woman he's talking about?

I look up and...it's not Nicole?

Confused, I navigate the entire rooftop. There's no sign of Nicole around here. Weird...maybe Sebastian's found another woman to mingle around with?

"Baby, I'm right here." Emilio states. He seems pissed. Maybe I've been staring at Sebastian for a bit too long.

"I'm sorry, where are we sitting again?" I ask, hoping that he forgot about what he had just witnessed.

"Right there." He points at the table which is adjacent to Sebastian's current position.

Great. This is exactly what I didn't want to happen.

I reassured myself to ingore the people around me, though the constant feeling of Sebastian's eyes piercing through my soul irked me.

Soon, the waiter approaches us. We both ordered tall glasses of red wine and pasta.

A little while later the waiter returns. "Here are your ord-" And there it goes: wine had splattered all over Emilio's suit.

"I am so sorry! I didn't mean for this to happen! I must've slipped on something!" The waiter apologises profusely.

"Don't worry about it" Emilio reassures. He then turns to me.

"I'll be gone for a while. I've got to clean this mess up. You stay here and enjoy your meal love."

And just like that, I'm left alone yet again.

The waiter directs Emilio towards the bathroom. Until I realise something...

Nicole works here?! She's touching Emilio in a flirtatious manner. This is ridiculous! Why isn't Emilio stopping her?!

Before I could even get up, I was abruptly stopped by, unsuprisingly, Sebastian.

"Woah woah woah, where'd you think you're going Y/N? You didn't tell me you'd be here tonight." He chuckles.

"This isn't funny. Go cheat on your new girlfriend why don't you? Instead of talking to me when I clearly told you it was over."

"She's not my girlfriend, Y/N, she's just a friend. You seem to be quite interested in my love life. Wanna join one day?" He smirks cockily.

"Oh please. You're the last person I'd want to be with." I replied, knowing damn well I didn't mean any of it.

"Why don't you quit lying and just unblock me? I know you've been thinking about me constantly ever since it happened."

My eyes widened. How did he know?
It was scarily accurate. Though I reminded myself it was just a lucky guess.

"This is the last time, Sebastian. I'm not interested." I roll my eyes. Sebastian looks at me, with a suprised expression on his face. He seems impressed.

"We'll see about that..." Suddenly, he passed me a note before leaving. Is this seriously why he approached me?

I waited a few moments before opening the note out of curiosity. My jaw dropped.

"Your boyfriend's been cheating on you without you even realising it." followed by a wink emoticon.

Is he being for real?!

It's been over 20 minutes and there's no sign of Emilio. Fed up, I walk home. I'll just tell him that I felt sick; it works every time.

What a great date this was...
