Pain rages through my body. Head to toe,  it washes over me like waves. I feel it in my mind. I feel it everywhere.

"Bay?" My name jolts me back to reality.

"Mmmm" I murmur trying to get myself up.

"We're here, love." The word "love" flies around in my head. This doesn't make any sense. I've known of Harry for years. He has never once made me feel this frazzled before. I don't have feelings for him.

I fall out of consciousness into a dream. Harry is sitting by a fireplace holding hot chocolate. I hear the cackling and crackling of fire watching the embers dance. Harry then walks over to me and brushes the hair away from my face. He leans in for a kiss.

"Miss, can you please check out my friend?" Harry's words snap me out of the dream. I look around the infirmary. No fire, no hot chocolate, and Harry is definitely not trying to kiss me. I still don't understand why I am being drawn to Harry.

"She got into a bad snowboarding accident," There's that honey voice again.

"Yes, I see," The nurse, I presume, walks over to me and eyes me up and down.

"Alright, so what is your name, young lady?"

"Bay Valentine," I mumble with horribly dry voice.

The nurse has on faded jeans and a navy T-shirt that has big white letters "STAFF" across the back. She walks over to a table and grabs different equipment.

"Bay, is there any spot that hurts in particular?" She pushes back her dull, dirty blond bangs that fall into her face. She leans down to stare at my eyes. Harry shifts his stance so he is looking directly at me.

"Left ankle," I weakly say.

Harry's stare strengthens as the nurse reaches for me. I'm not sure if I'm imagining this or not, but it looks like he's ready to jump at any minute.

"OW!" I cry out as she applies pressure. Harry sprints over to me. He grabs my hand and kneels down next to me.

"Bay, it's going to be okay. This nice nurse is going to fix you right up." I'm shocked at how nice he is being to me. Any other person would have just left me there. Harry is making sure I will be okay.

"This is definitely twisted." The nurse proclaims standing up. "I know it hurts bad now, but it's not actually not that bad of a twist. You'll need to wear a brace for around a week and avoid doing anything strenuous.  You're lucky you didn't land directly on it. Now that would have been bad." She chuckles.

"You're positive she'll be okay?" Harry chimes in and his grip on my arm tightens. I am about to explode. What is this guy doing to my heart? This is new.

"I'm positive," She flashes a quick smile.

Harry nods and turns back to me.

The nurse begins to check me to make sure nothing else is wrong. I hardly pay attention to her. Harry is draining me.

Pink Floyd begins to blast and my head snaps to Harry. He's shuffling in his pocket and pulls out his cellphone. He looks at the caller ID, and his face drops. Seriously, the shine in his perfect, emerald eyes vanishes instantly.

"I need to take this," Harry's honey voice is replaced with a bitter tone. "Hey, what's up?" Harry's voice trails off as he walks into a different room.

"Well you seem good to go," She hands me a plain, black brace. I sigh taking it.

"Thanks," I mutter putting it on. The brace begins to make the pain ease up. I feel my phone buzz and fish it out of my coat pocket.

bay-bay i saw the accident u got in. hope ur better!! Cute guy took u up so im sure ur ok. i returned ur snowboard but i had 2 leave. sorry bay-bay :( luv u xox

I stare at my phone. She just left? She didn't even come help me. What a friend. I angrily shove my phone back into the pocket. Harry's still on the phone. I decide to check up on him.  I get up and walk into the room he's in.

"Unnnff," I bump right into him. Of course he's walking out as I'm walking in.

"Sorry about that, Bay," And the honey has returned.

"My fault," I say while regaining my balance. Something seems off with him. It's not my place to ask questions. I barely know him. But, I feel like I've been friends with him forever. There's just something there.

"Harry... I know this is none of my business, but are you okay?"

He sighs and looks away from me. I wonder if I made the wrong decision, but he turns back to me.

"That was Piper, my girlfriend," His voice is flat and dry, "She's pissed off at me since I blew her off tonight."

"Now that was definitely my fault," I chuckle trying to hide the fact I'm upset about the girlfriend. I have no right to feel upset, but that doesn't stop me.

"Don't worry about it," Harry says, "She just gets mad really easily."

We walk out of the infirmary in silence.
