" okay lovely couple I have you results right here. It says that your 1 1/2 weeks pregnant , congratulations!" The doctor told us
" you for real ?" I asked
" as real as my phd ahaha, just a little doctor joke , I'll give you too some time to talk , be back in a minute with the rest of the papers ." He said closing the door.
I looked at her and she looked dazed out
" Jas , baby you good?" I asked
" yeah, no I'm fine I just ... Can't believe it , I mean August are we ready for a baby ?" She asked looking worried
" yeah , well idk but I mean we don't a choice but to be ready ." He told me rubbing my back
" oo, I'm so excited ." I said changing my whole mood
" we gotta paint that room , and buy baby stuff and oo this is a lot ." I said
" Jasmine, baby relax , calm down we gon get everything that we need and more don't worry about everything at once ." He told me

So how are we gonna tell everybody the news?" I asked biting into a pickle
" ion know, uh we could have a little get together this weekend here you know barbecue and tell him during the most of it." He said shrugging while keeping his eyes on his game
"Sounds nice babe ." I said biting my pickle again.
" aghh!" I said
August paused the game and turned around
" what happened, you feelin pain already??" He said slick panicking
" no, gahdamn pickle juice got in my eye !" I told
"😒😒, man." He said giving me a wtf look and going back to his game .

Saturday

August Pov
" ok peoples can I have your attention please." I said
" I well we as in me and jasmine have an announcement to make ." I as everyone turned their attention toward me
" wait August maybe we should have ." Jasmine said pulling me away and whispering to me
" you sure , I mean .." I said
" yeah , you know just in case something goes wrong ." She told me
" well aright, wish you would have told me sooner before I made the almost announcement ." I said
" ummmm , still waiting on the announcement over here people !" We heard somebody say
" oh , yeah about that ." I said walking back to my spot
" the announcement was that uh , we were ...... Getting a dog !" I told them
" a dog !" Everybody said in unison
" yeah , that's it carry on ." I said walking away fast with Jasmine

"Whelp I cooked for nothing." Jasmine said plopping down next to me on the bed .
" huh?" I asked
" because it was suppose to be for the baby purpose and instead they came eat the food and left with no news , beside getting a dog, all because I panicked ." She told me
" well if it makes you feel any better we could really get a dog ." I told her shrugging
" lol, fine but I feel stupid now , like a .. Like a punk ." She told me
I rolled over toward her and pulled her in .
" it's Okay , I'll make you feel better ." I said kissing her face
"And how is that?" She asked side eyeing me
