"C'mon, Henny! The rain stopped!" Four-year-old Raven urged, dragging her slightly older twin behind her. Her contagious excitement filled the bond she shared with her brother as they both sped towards the door as quickly as their small legs could carry them.

Raven's face split into a large smile at the thought of playing in the puddles. She looked back at Henrik, the two having identical smiles. As she turned forward she yelped, having ran straight into someone's legs. "Ouch!" She mumbled, rubbing her reddening, sore nose.

Henrik helped her up, head tilting down as he addressed the man in front of them. "Apologies, Father! We didn't see you." Henrik expressed moving Raven behind him, holding her hand in his behind his back. She was frozen under Mikael's harsh, icy gaze eyeing her down, completely ignoring Henrik speaking to him. She stood frozen, scared, gripping Henrik's shaking hand, squeezing in a sequence only they knew to reassure they would be fine.

Since being reborn she hadn't had many interactions with Mikael, but when she did it would leave her bruised. Mikael's hands moved towards his waist, resting on his sword, eyes finally moving from Raven to Henrik. Raven pulled Henrik closer to her, bringing Mikael's eyes back to her. She wouldn't let him hurt Henrik.

"Father. Twins. Has something happened?" The twins' eyes moved toward the voice, finding a stone-faced, fourteen-year-old Elijah and a weary, eleven-year-old Niklaus standing behind Mikael. The older boys stood in their training outfits, staring at Mikael's back who hadn't looked away from the smaller two.

"We were apologizing to Father." Raven spoke, her eyes moving back to their frightening father. Mikael stared at her, eyes moving to where her free hand clenched tightly into a fist. "That's very kind of you. Would-" Mikael cut Elijah off, pushing past the twins making them stumble to the side.

"Training's done for the day. Dismissed." Elijah and Niklaus nodded in understanding, even though Mikael hadn't looked at them ever. The group of four watched as Mikael walked deeper into their house, waiting till they saw their parents door flap close. The twins started their walk again, only to be stopped by their older brothers.

"You both know to stay out of Fathers way." Elijah scolded them, hands gripping onto their shoulders as he bent down to their height. The twins rolled their eyes in unison, used to Elijah's lectures and scoldings. Niklaus moved a hand to his mouth to muffle his laughter from the twins' action, while Elijah huffed playfully.

"We know. Bye-bye now." Raven rushed out, waving at her brothers as Henrik grew tired of being in the house and began to drag her outside like she had done earlier. The two sped-walked past their elder brothers, Niklaus and Elijah shared a look before quickly following the two. The elder siblings followed behind the two giggling children as they skipped through their village hand-in-hand, stopping and stomping in small mud puddles then moving on to the next.

Their two elder brothers talked quietly, making sure to keep an eye on the increasingly more dirty children. The two mud monsters giggled before spotting a large mud puddle, sprinting towards the mud. They quickly jumped in before Elijah could stop them from entering the large mud puddle, knowing this one was sure to cover them in muddy water. The two laughed and splashed each other, catching the attention of others in their village. Adults watched on with smiles at the happy children, their own watching on in envy.

The twins stopped slashing, bending down to create mud creations. While they were distracted, their families' other set of twins showed up. Six-year-old Kol and Rebekah joined their older siblings in watching the younger twins, Rebekah's young face scrunched up in distaste looking at her mud covered siblings. While Kol watched on in excitement, quickly joining them in playing in the mud.
