Chapter 56

"Ladies and gentlemen!" The emcee said through his microphone. "Welcome to the 16th annual anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Aburano! I am Tokugami, your host for tonight."

"Oh, it's starting." Saijyo-san said, looking at the host.

She finally stopped laughing. I turned my head to the emcee as he speaks about Aburano-san and his wife. Then, he called Aburano-san for a speech. The crowd gave a warm applause as he enters the stage.

"Good evening, my honored guests. I am very thankful to each and everyone of you coming tonight. Today is the day I celebrate my wedding anniversary with my wife for the 16th time and I'm so happy and proud to tell you that we will never be apart.."

The crowd cheered seeing him flush a little as he speaks of lovey-dovey things about their marriage and whatnot. Seeing the both of them happy makes me want to experience this kind of thing as well..

"You look quite envious." Saijyo-san said, teasingly smirking at me.

"I'm not." I denied while I avert my eyes away.

"Don't worry, you'll also find someone someday." She consoled me while gently patting my back. "But that someone might never exist and that someday might never come."

She mocked me while laughing teasingly. I frowned at her and scoffed.

"Geez, thank for comforting me. You really helped me A LOT." I sarcastically said.

"Sure, sure. Of course I can help you. I'm awesome." She said as she winked.

She looked at Aburano-san and his wife all happy and glad. Suddenly, the day when I asked her when we met before popped in my head. I immediately craved for an honest answer coming from her.

"By the way.." I started the conversation.

"Yeah?" She asked, looking at me.

"Regarding my question the other day.. Um.. I was kinda wondering what your answer was.." I said, rubbing my nape out of embarrassment.

"Ehhh..? What question?" She asked.

"You know.. That.. Have we met before or something..?" I said.

"Oh.. That.." She nodded slowly.

"Yeah. I was kinda curious about that, haha.." I flushed a little pink as I looked down.

"Heh. Of course not." She answered without any hint of lies in her voice.

I looked at her startled by her answer.

"It's my first time meeting someone with a weird black and white haired dude." She exclaimed rubbing my head.

"H-Hey..!"

With her hand on my head, I felt so nostalgic. As if, someone has already did that to me and a lot of times. The warmth, the gentleness, and the softness of her palm over my head was very wistful but, I can't explain why it would always be from her..

I looked at her and her eyes widened a bit which made her retract her arm as quickly as she could. I see her throat moved as if she was gulping. She looked really shocked and a bit frightened.

"What's wrong?" I asked her.

"I-It's nothing.." She answered in a low tone.

She looked away and suddenly, from the corner of my eye, something shone brightly. It was like gleaming beautifully. I turned my eyes from its origin and spotted it on her hand. It was her Rose designed diamond ring. I peered at it carefully as I felt that I've seen this ring somewhere before.

"Well then, let's enjoy the party to the fullest!" Aburano-san said.

The crowd cheered and applauded for him and his wife. The music started and it was perfect for some waltz. The crowd was chattering
and drinking their cocktail.

But, I was immersed in my own thoughts. I carefully thought about where I have seen it before. I furrowed my eyebrows and looked down concentrate. Suddenly, a memory fragment flashed before me.

I was sitting on the chair in the dark and ominous room. The white haired man slowly crept behind me and put his hands over my eyes. As he covered my eyes, an image of a Rose designed diamond ring appeared and the white haired man was wearing it into a brown haired woman's ring finger.

That..! That white haired man.. I'm pretty sure he's the other side of me.. But, this brown haired woman.. Whose face was ambiguous.. Is it her..? Is she the woman I'm actually involved with in the past..?

"Saijyo-san--"

"Hello there, miss."

I was just about to call her when a man all handsome and dignified suddenly appeared in front of her. He smiled sweetly at her as he meets with her.

"I am Yagami Makoto, the son of a big corporate group. How about you, miss? What's your name?" He asked with a gentle voice as he held out his hand for her to shake.

"Oh, I'm Saijyo Yukina. Pleased to meet you, Yagami-san." She smiled back and shook his hand.

"Would you mind dancing with me?" He asked as he asked for Saijyo-san's hand.

Without hesitation, Saijyo-san took his invitation as she placed her hand on top of his and smiled.

"I don't mind at all." She said with a pleased tone.

She stood up and let the man led her away from her previous position, which was beside me. Okay, that damn bastard took her away at the right time! I have something important to talk to her about!

They walked to the front and the spot light fell on the two of them. They danced waltz elegantly. That guy and Saijyo-san moved gracefully which annoys the hell out of me.

Though Saijyo-san looks wonderful in middle of the crowd, that guy is a real bastard.. I don't know why but, he's a bastard and I don't like him.

I clenched my fists in anger. The crowd was clapping and cheering for them as they swept away the dance floor with those amusing and flawless moves in waltz. They successfully impressed the audience, leaving nothing but smiles and amazement on their faces.

But this kind of thing leaves a bitter taste in me. Saijyo-san would shine brighter if she's not with that guy..

Unconsciously, the grip on my hands became tighter. The other couples started dancing on the dance floor as well. As soon as the music ends, another man came to her and asked her for a dance. More and more people would want to dance with her as the time passes by.

As I watched her dance with different men, my irritation was getting out of hand. This is not what I wanted to see.

She looks happy surrounded by dashing and handsome successful men. She flashes smiles around them while she barely gives me some.

Unacceptable.

This so unacceptable and unfair. This is really getting on my nerves... Hmph, don't think that something like this is gonna bring me down. In fact, it's the other way around.

If I have to get her back, I'll just have to kick those old men's ass.

Get ready for me as I'm serious in this competition.

This SASARIOUS will steal Saijyo-san's heart!
