"Extra Extra,read all about it,Principal stays out of town Extra Extra read all about it,principal stays out of town!" Daniel and the guys from his team entered the cafeteria shouting and jumping here and there,and banging things.They had just finished with practice and it seemed the adrenaline was still in excess in their system.The captain,his vice,Richard and a couple of their teammates joined the girls at their usual table,they were bursting with energy.
"I don't see Vanessa anywhere"Daniel said surprised at the absence of his sweet heart.He has been looking forward to seeing her to make sure they were still sweethearts.
"She's in the science lab with your sis."
"That girl sure loves science. she's the only one i know that's being able to pull off being a geek and the most popular girl in school at the same time."Evan said.
"As she'll say, hate life, love science" Daniel mimicked her.
"Oh hell yeah!" They all imited her and the whole table burst into laughter.
"Can i join you guys?" Ninabella came out of nowhere with her lunch tray in her hands and asked them.
"We would love for you to join us honey but unfortunately there is no seat available for you, sorry darling" Shane replied sarcastically annoyed by the guts Nina had to approach them in the first place.
"But there's no one in this seat." Nina said pointing to the empty chair beside Daniel.Kath and Shane both burst into laughter.
"Honey you've been in this school long enough to know that no one and I mean nobody sits in that chair besides Vanessa.And I know you know, so why don't you push yourself back to where you losers always have your lunch sweetheart" Shane added fiercely.
"You guys are rude,arrogant and despicable"Nina burst out loudly gaining the attention of everyone in the cafeteria."I just wanted to be friendly."
"You mean more than you already are?" Kathleen chuckled.
"You know what, being extremely rich doesn't give you the ticket to be snobbish,rude and walk all over people whenever you want."
"Ah yeah,it kinda does"Shane said and kat nudged her under the table."Ouch!" She scowled at her.
"Honey,you're the only one who perceives us that way,don't you have something better to do with your time than irritate us all the time making a fool out of yourself,get over it Nina its been two years already,besides haven't you left something behind?"Kathleen replied calmly but with anger in her eyes.
"What?"Nina asked puzzled.
"Your three puppets."Kathleen looked over Nina's shoulder pointing to her three friends who were standing a few feets away.The whole table erupted in laughter as Nina huffed and walked towards the exit with her friends trailing behind her.
"Guys don't you think you took it a bit far?"Richard asked them both.By then everyone had gone back to doing their business before they were interrupted by Nina.
"Yeah ,besides Nina isn't that bad"Daniel also added.
"You really Do not want Vanessa to hear you say that."Shane said to Daniel.
"A bit far? Honey you've been too wrapped up in the skirts of your new conquest to realize what's being going on around you."Kathleen lashed out.The whole table went silent.Richard starred at her with hurt in his eyes,he stood up without a word then walked away.Kathleen turned to look at Shane with regret written all over her face she turned to look at her best friends face with guilt.Shane's face mirrored that of Richard's awhile ago but with a little tears in them.
"Now that was quite far."She also stood up and walked towards the exit.
"Shane I'm so sorry,I didn't mean to bring that up".She said after her but she kept walking and headed out of the cafeteria.Kathleen sighed and drooped her head onto the table."God I'm so stupid" She whispered under her breath.

"Well well well,if it isn't our very own Miss Ninabella and her three musketeers,how've you been darlin?" Vanessa asked with sarcasm in her voice.Nina got closer to her,leaned towards her and said softly into her ears,making sure she would feel the impact of what she was about to tell her although she was speaking loudly enough for everyone to hear.
"I have never felt better since the kiss I shared with your smoking hot boyfriend in my bedroom last night and I don't mean just any kiss,it was deep and long with tongues and all."Nina's friends snickered from behind her,Vanessa glared at them with hatred.
"And you really think I'll believe you?"
"Go ask him about our night of passion,i doubt he'll deny it."Nina said with a dreamy look in her eyes.
"Even if he did trust me, he forgot all about it before he even walked out of your front door."vanessa stood her ground refusing to let Nina get the better of her.
"Oh honey trust me,it was a night to remember."She winked and and walked past her leaving a stunned Vanessa standing alone in the hall with all eyes on her.Judging by the looks on their faces they had all heard.
"Don't you all have better things to do than nose around." She snapped at them and continued down the hall heading towards the cafeteria with her head held high.
