Kocho Ahane is a demon slayer. Her older adoptive sisters are insect and flower pillars Kocho Shinobu and Kocho Kanae. She also has a younger sister, Tsuyuri Kanao.

She is not related to her sisters by blood. None of them.

On her tenth birthday, her own older sister was turned into a demon and Ahane witnessed how her sweet, kind, good sister ate their parents with a crazy expression on her face. She had never seen so much blood then.

She was saved by the demon slayer Kocho Kanae. This girl is very brave, beautiful, kind, strong and tall.

The Slayer, having learned her story, took pity on her. As she later learned, Kanae also saw her parents' death with her own eyes. She adopted her as her older sister.

Before becoming, her last name was Tsuyuri, but she changed it to Kocho. Kanae had another younger sister besides her.

This girl's name is Kocho Shinobu. She is very short and petite. Shinobu, like her sister, is very beautiful, albeit with her repulsive character.

Shinobu seems to be jealous of her tall height for her age. Ahane is younger than Shinobu, but already taller than her.

According to Kanae, Shinobu became like this after the death of her parents. Ahane understands Shinobu because not everyone can remain the same as they were before when they saw the death of their loved ones.

The kakushi and the other demon slayers disliked her. They considered her ungrateful for saving her life and were sure that she was a useless tall woman and definitely could not become a fighter.

Kanae and Shinobu were against her becoming a slayer, but she couldn't be persuaded.

The stone pillar Himejima Gyomei understood this and helped her overcome her fear. He instructed her, helped her become stronger physically, morally, taught her how to breathe stone. He gave her helpful advice. He is almost like a father to her.

A year later, Kanae became the pillar of the flower. And a year later, Kanao appeared in their small family.

Kocho Ahane -is the strongest woman in the entire organization. Her power level is between Gyomei and her sister Kanae's future fiancé Shinazugawa Sanemi.
