Katsuki let out a soft sigh as he stared at his reflection.

The room was dimly lit by two candles but that didn't stop him being able to see his reflection in the mirror and take notice of his forming eye bags and his skin looking quite pale.

He looked like a vampire, the only thing the young man was missing was the pointy ears and fangs.

Bakugo rubbed his eyes and let out a yawn. He hadn't really slept these past nights after all and it didn't help that he wasn't allowed to leave his room because the tradition's rules. How could he? It was finally his turn to be the one chosen to go to the vampire kingdom and tonight was that night and it was why he was dressed in red even with a cloak that was a little too big for him as it was again part one the stupid tradition's rules.

Katsuki was soon pulled out of the clouds when an older woman stepped in looking like a less sickly and feminine version of himself..

"Mother.." The blonde in red had to force those simple words out of his mouth. It was his last night here so it wouldn't hurt to call her that even though this woman had been nothing but an old hag and she was definitely the one thing Katsuki wouldn't miss.

"Katsuki!" Mitsuki gasped. Her red eyes went wide. She rushed over to her son and quickly tugged the cloak over his head. "You idiot! You can't show your face to anyone besides him" she growled while her words caused Katsuki to grit his teeth. "Did you forget the rules?!

For a moment just a single moment Katsuki had thought the old hag would show some kind of reaction to being called mother or at least act upset over her only child getting fed to vampires but no it was almost like she was happy that the boy was leaving.

Katsuki let out a small huff and stepped away from his mother, it now being a bit hard to see thanks to his eyes being a bit covered by the cloak.

"Does it really fucking matter? What's a little bad luck going to do because some old bat wasn't the first to see me in this damn thing!" Katsuki snapped, causing his mother to scowl in response to his words.

"Listen here," she grabbed his arm and yanked the boy closer to her before pulling his cloak sleeve down enough to reveal a mark that looked to be a little vine of leaves wrapped around his arm that ended near his palm and went all the way to his neck. "You should be grateful! You were born with this mark and because of that. We can live."

We. Katsuki wanted to laugh hearing that little word from her. everyone but him could live.

It wasn't fair! It wasn't fair that he was born with this damn curse and born to be a dinner to some blood sucker.

"But I can't." Katsuki pulled his arm away and crossed his arms.

Mitsuki sighed softly, Her face seeming to soften for a moment "katsuki.." The older woman had a look of pity on her face, something that made the boy's blood boil and just as she reached a hand out to him the boy smacked her hand away from him and backed away. "Don't start giving me your pity now!" Bakugo growled.

That pitiful look faded soon after that as Mitsuki's lips pursed into a thin line. "Fine! Why do I even bother" she grumbled and turned away from him and headed to the door only to stop In Front of it. "Kirishima is here to see you before you go". She paused for a moment "and fix yourself up. You look sick.." After that, Mitsuki left the room leaving Katsuki alone again with his thoughts.

Bakugo pulled the cloak off his head and fell back onto his bed. This would be the last time that he would be in this room let alone his village. He was going to lose everything and everyone around him after tonight and most importantly, Bakugo was going to loose-
