Alois' POV

I was busy with work for the past few days that for a number of times I broke my promises to Lizzy and it makes me sad seeing her cry because of me. A knock on the door brought me back to reality.

"Come in."

"I apologize for the intrusion Milord but Lady Elizabeth is here to see you." Timber informed.

Upon hearing her name it bought a smile on the Earl's face that Timber caught the message immediately. Elizabeth Middleford came rushing in...

"Alois ~ " Her sing-sang tone filled the gloomy room.

I got up from the swivel chair and lightly kissed my beloved on the forehead. "I was just thinking about you."

She giggled. "Then ditch your work."

He smirked. "You know you can be sinfully naughty sometimes."

"Alois Trancy flattery won't get you nowhere." She winked.

A booming laughter escaped from the young earl's lips. "Then off we go My Lady." He gestured Elizabeth by the door.

Alois Trancy did ditch his paperwork leaving Hannah and the triplets do his bidding. Alois personally drive his fiancée on their way to his private summerhouse. It wasn't a long drive but Alois enjoyed every second of it, his moment with Lizzy in the car is something he won't relinquish to any worldly possessions. Lizzy timidly puts her hand outside the car window feeling the summer heat and wind all at once upon arrival at the express way, Alois looking sideways thought, "And with that she made another adorable gesture." Noticing how Lizzy's emerald eyes sparkle in satisfaction.

 

Once they arrive at the summerhouse Lizzy instantaneously went at the compartment behind the car, pulling a large picnic basket. Alois marvel in awe when did she put it there? He went out of the car then lifts the basket from her.

"Picnic?"

She nodded a sugary smile surfacing her face.

I bet she planned this all out. Lizzy lead the way in a shady part of the backyard overlooking the lake nearby, I never went here that's why I'm astonish how did she know the way around, I don't remember bringing her here either.

Alois smiled at himself as the answer pops on his head. I'm sure Hannah most likely suggested this picnic thingy and the triplets went here with her. Those clever demons it's their way of making me rest and I got to needed to thank them later.
