Sebastian sighed wearily, “Why are siding with him? Did he fed you with unscrupulous lies about me?”
“That is not the point!”
Sakura turned her back on him but Sebastian’s unearthly reflexes clasped her arm. Claude was being hold back by few crew members to avoid further ‘bloodshed’. She looked up to him. He could see the faint startled reflex in her eyes, the momentarily flash of panic. But her resolve wasn’t shaken, tilting her chin up with a hint of defiance… she met his eyes. Poor child. Little did she know that her defiance enchanted him as much as her panic.
“I have number of ways of discovering that which I desire to know. I can do it nicely.” He said in a deceptively pleasant voice. He leans closer, too close. And his hand caught hers, his long fingers stroking her palm, slowly, gently, cleverly. “I can touch you in ways that even you can’t imagine.” His voice was low, heated. “I can take your darkest secrets, I can take anything I want from you, and you’d be willing, eager to give me. Everything.”
For a moment she was unable to speak. Her pulse leapt from her throat, and she knew he could hear her pounding heart.
Without warning… the mirrors, light bulbs, and glasses shattered into pieces that brought everyone in chaos. Apparently Claude have to stepped in.Claude devilishly smiled towards Sebastian, the one that could strike terror into innocent hearts. Sakura whitened.
Sakura’s POV
I have to do something or this room will become a battlefield! Glancing at an opportunity. I got a grabbed of Claude’s hand and immediately rushed towards the exit. I, who prided on my calm levelheadedness was being drawn into something dangerous.
I can’t belive that I let him do that! And if that cunning Sebastian weren’t so wickedly, dangerously, handsome man… everything will be just fine! I am not supposed to meet him this early!
“Sakura.”
I had so many things in mind and of all times, why do I need to meet him in the middle of work?
“SAKURA!”
Claude had to shout in order for her to stop and look at him.
“The lights are red.”
“Red?”
His smile was small. “It means halt.”
“Right. Sorry about that.”
“You’re safe from me you know.” He added.
She stared at him. “Claude, sorry for not doing my job properly.”
“Don’t be.” He moved closer to her as the lights finally went green. “I can do better. I will become a better man worthy of your love.” His smile was heartbreaking.
They went into Claude’s sports car and head back home, it’s been a tiresome day for her. The car stopped a moment later. Claude stood in the open doorway, he was holding out his hand to her. She stepped into the cold night air, and her legs promptly collapsed underneath her. Gladly, he was there to catch her. His body was strangely warm for an expressionless man and his hands were both hard and gentle on her as he held her for what surely was a minute longer than necessary as she regain her balance.
Then he released her, “Sorry for pushing you too far.”
“I’m just tired and my work is nothing compared to yours, so don’t waste your thoughts on me.”
“Saying those things whispered in the dark.
As they stepped in into the house Claude switched the lights. “It will be a long time.” She said her thoughts out loud when she’s not supposed to.
“I’m a patient man, :” He said softly. “I’ll wait.”
With those words said, Claude Faustus went into his room.
Pool of tears strain down from Sakura’s ghastly white skin. She knew that she’s being unfair to Claude, she was not used in his act of tenderness and that doubles the pain.
“I am still in love with that idiot.”
Our beloved heroine despite the fatigue couldn’t sleep, her thoughts eats her, leaving her awake in the middle of the night. She resorted into reading a novel. In the middle of her light reading Sakura finally went to sleep just in time when Claude emerged out of his bed chamber.
He watched her as she slept. She looked oddly fragile for such a robust creature. She looked almost ethereal, sitting beside a window in that uncomfortable looking chair.
He leaned against the wall, watching her, and then he knew that whether he doesn’t like it or not really like it, he wasn’t going to let Sebastian Michaelis a.k.a stupid crow put his hands on her again. What is it about her that caught at his soul, when he no longer had one? What was it that fascinated him, weakened him, made him start believing in things he knows that doesn’t exist.
Though he made no sound at all, her eyes slowly opened still sleepy. She didn’t see him at first, and he allowed himself the pleasure of watching her slow, delicious stretch. And then she knew she wasn’t alone.
“You can’t sleep either?” She asked. Her low voice faintingly breathless with surprise.
“Have you forgotten? Demons don’t sleep.”
“Right.”
[SFX: Cricket sounds…]
“I think I should go to my room. Sorry for bothering you.”
“Sakura.” He abruptly called.
“Yes?”
“Can you share the bed with me?”
