"Madam, there's someone by the name of Nora Odell here who wants to meet you." Harry, one of the house attendants announced.

I looked up from my desk with a questioning gaze. I couldn't quite remember if I ever mentioned my last name. Was it through the call that I mentioned it? 

It's a wonder how she was able to find where I live but maybe they inquired that information from the police?

'I'll settle with that conclusion.' I nodded my head with my decision. It'd lessen the food on my plate that way hehe.

I hummed my way to the receiving room and I thought twice about opening the door. Seeing as I already drank my pheromone suppressant pills, I doubt anyone could catch me sneaking up on them right?

It's been troubling me these days, usually, we betas don't have to worry about our pheromones since they're barely noticeable.

'Anyway, let's take a peek first~'

I cracked the door slightly open just to check and I could see the cute darling tapping her feet on the floor quickly and nervously gripping her skirt.

Her eyes glanced everywhere in the room and I was starting to feel guilty for making her nervous.

Suppressing a chuckle, I opened the door slowly for her to regain composure.

"Hi Sweetie, how are you doing?" I greeted her with a smile while holding the tray of sweets I had asked to bring.

"N-Neveah! H-Hi! I know it's kinda weird that I suddenly appeared out of nowhere. I swear on my papa's life that we didn't stalk you. I don't mean any harm, I just wanted to see you. Ah! No, I mean I just wanted to be your sister! I-I mean I want you to adopt me? Err that's not right too um- I meant- uhh..."

I felt like I just listened to a live freestyle rapping session. She spoke fast but started stuttering in the end. She's just too adorable! If only my step-sibling was this cute but all I have is a spawn of satan that tried to sabotage me.

I accidentally chuckled and when I looked back at her she was beet red.

"Aww don't be embarrassed. I trust you, Nora. Also, I'd love to spend more time with you. I'll be more than happy to be your friend." I patted her head and smiled at her.

She stared at me for a moment before tears started welling up in her eyes. I was startled for a moment, not knowing what to do.

"D-Did I say som-" I tried speaking but then she hugged me.

"I'm so relieved! I never had any female friends before~!" She cried.

I pursed my lips together, remembering how she got into that position in the first place. Her tears stained the dark blue cotton shirt I had on but it was fine with me as I let this precious child pour out her heart.

"Oh? That's soo nice! At least your childhood friends treat you well." I chimed, grabbing a biscuit and plopping it in my mouth.

I brought her out in the garden to eat some snacks while we got to know each other better.

"They really do! But..they started to act more distant these few years. I'm usually alone in school. Not that I mind it but..it'd be nice to have some company.." She mumbled the last few words.

"...I'm sure you'll reconnect with them someday. If you want, I could help you with it but sounds like to me when you were talking about them earlier, you have a little crush don't you?" I wiggled my eyebrows at her.

The apples of her cheeks bleed red and her ears were visibly turning pink.

I giggled and asked, "Soo, which was, is it? The older twin or the younger twin?"
