‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍Once they got there, Liandreo introduced Naya to his grandparents and she respectfully greeted them. At first, his grannies were shocked to see that his new found friend looks exactly alike like their granddaughter. Soon, a girl in Naya's age, entered the living room and when she saw Naya, she gasped. Because of her shock, the basket filled with fruits was dropped to the floor.

Seeing their granddaughter, Naya can't believe it. She went near her and stared at her. It's just like looking into the mirror. But then.. she felt something within her about the girl. It felt like...they've already met before. The girl who was shocked as well, was not sure whether she's dreaming or not. It sends chills down her spine. It's kinda creepy to see someone that looked exactly like her.

She slowly bent down to pick up the fruits that fell and the basket. Liandreo went over to help her and apologized to Naya for his cousin's behavior. Naya didn't mind.

When Liandreo's cousin straightened her posture and stared at her again just as Naya did, he introduced his cousin as Karisa. Naya extended her hand for her to shake while Karisa, on the other hand was hesitant. It feels weird for her in seeing her and it would feel weirder if she touches her hand.

Liandreo nudged his cousin and told her to not be rude. Karisa slowly held her hand and shakes it. Naya smiled at her, asking her if they could be friends and talk. The grandparents who heard it immediately encouraged Karisa to do so. Their granddaughter glanced at Liandreo for confirmation and he nodded.

Naya and Karisa went out in the garden, where fruits and vegetables were planted and sat down on a bench inside a small hut.

"Wow, did your grandparents planted all those fruits?" Naya pointed at the garden and glancing at Karisa.

"Some of them. I.. actually helped in planting those." Karisa spoke, in a low voice but is still loud enough for Naya to hear. Naya was surprised and looks at her in amazement.

Naya then turned to her fully and tells her it's so awesome for her to meet someone who is like a mirror. She says that when she saw her, it's like she's staring into herself.

"What if.. we're actually twins?" Naya joked and sheepishly smiled at her. Karisa laughs at her what if question and nods her head slowly.

"Why.. do we look so much alike?" Karisa questioned her as she is confused.

Naya shrugged. "I don't know. But don't you think it's cool? We could even switch lives for a day and no one will notice." She chuckles.

But at that moment, when Naya said the word 'switch', something within the both of them was triggered. What was that? Karisa felt again what she had felt when she saw Naya a while ago. It was a feeling that.. they've met each other before. And it was something that they both couldn't put their finger into. But.. it's familiar.

"Did you feel something?" Naya asked Karisa as she stared into her eyes.

Karisa nodded. "It's much more weirder than seeing you. Have we met before?"
It's like deja vu. But they also felt like there's something that happened between them. They just don't know what it is. Were they friends before? But that's impossible. They've only met now.

*~*~

Soon enough, when they've spent together more, they've become best friends. But only lasted until.. Karisa got invited by her aunt to study in another country for college. Her grandparents and Liandreo encouraged her to do so since her aunt will be paying for all she needed. Karisa agreed happily because ever since she always wanted to study in another country. She, however, was going to miss Naya.

Naya told her not to worry because they'll still stay in contact. Karisa left while telling Naya that she'll not going to forget her.

Months after Karisa went to another country, she and Liandreo began to have a relationship and when they told Karisa, she was extremely happy for them. But then, when Liandreo got a job in another place that's also far away from the city after he graduated in college, he sadly had to leave and take it as Naya told her to grab the opportunity. She said not to forget about her which Liandreo responded with, "I will remember you always. I'm going to miss you."

They did stay in contact. And as days pass by, Naya missed the two of the special person in her life. She still has her friends to cheer her up and Liandreo and Karisa still talks to her in a video call but nothing is more better than her seeing them again in person.

Another months had passed by and Naya waited each and every day for Liandreo's call or even a message but one time, he didn't do it. No messages. And it continued days and months and she started to worry. What could be happening? Was he cheating? Lots of thoughts run through her mind and she couldn't concentrate on her daily life.

She chatted Karisa about it but she didn't respond also. What's wrong?

Soon enough, she got a message from Liandreo which she was overjoyed. But, when she opened the message, she was shocked. It was Liandreo's aunt who messaged her, telling her that Liandreo...was months dead.

The phone in her hand slipped and fell to the floor. She couldn't believe it. She called the number and asked what happened and why she didn't message her before. His aunt told her he died in a car crash while he was using his phone to text her. She didn't tell her before because she knew it would break her heart and waited for the right time.

Naya was heart broken. Liandreo is dead. She can't see him anymore. She cried to sleep that time. Her parents and friends heard the news and was worried about her because she didn't get out her room for one week. Her friends comforted her and tells her even though Liandreo isn't physically present anymore, he's still with her.

"I will remember you always. I'm going to miss you." Naya remembered in her mind, those exact words that Liandreo told her before he left to go to another country. She cried again, but not in sadness. She felt comforted on the words he said. His words remained in her heart. Ever since that day, Naya went on with her life. And on every evening at 9:00, the exact time when Liandreo's aunt told her he's dead, she would make a note for him and cut it out into a heart shaped plane and threw it by her window and let it fly, trusting the wind to take it to where Liandreo is. She believes that he still reads her letters.

A person lets out a sigh and closed the book she's been writing. Looking down on it's title, 'Paper Hearts', she smiled, in a contented way and then closed the lid of her pen and puts it back to it's drawer.

"Finally, it's done."

"You're such an awful author. You killed the main character's boyfriend." A guy, who sats on the bed of the girl, giving her a dirty look.

The author turned to him. "It would be so boring if that didn't happen. It would be just like a normal teen romance story then. It's better this way."

"What? Like Romeo and Juliet? Hey, what if we're in their shoes and the author chooses to kill my character, it would be awful for you." The guy said.

"It would be. But the author would not let me stay sad and gloomy but to live on." She stood up from the chair.

They then soon talked about the two characters namely Naya and Karisa when the author asked how is it like when he met them. The guy, who's name was Zion, told her it's been fun. But getting Naya to accept the fact that she's really Karisa didn't happen immediately.
